Matsuyama Restaurant
Categories: Japanese, Sushi Bars
Came here for dinner with friends on a weekday night. The place is on the small side so we had to cram 5 of us into a table meant for 4. They have a lot of funny names for the sushi rolls here. 49er, hawaii, las vegas, small dragon, red dragon, black dragon, spider man, rock n roll, and others I can't remember. I had the hollywood roll and the matsuyama roll. The rolls were ok. The matsuyama roll had generous portions of imitation crab on top and the hollywood had a pretty good sauce. Both rolls, however, used too much rice and overall were too big to be comfortable eating in one bite, especially the hollywood. Prices are pretty good here. My 2 rolls cost around 6 bucks each. They have a dinner special for 11 dollars and a sashimi variety plate for around 15. Overall it's a decent place but I prefer cocoros and shomi.
Pretty good place for chinese food in Stockton. The food here is really good, not too greasy like most chinese food. I love the fried wontons too, one of the best ones I've ever had. The staff here is friendly and the decor is rather nice. The only downside to this restaurant is that the portions are pretty average, at least for the lunch specials.

Ghinggis Khan Mongolian Barbeque Restaurant
Category: Restaurants
Can't get much better than $8.75 for all you can eat mongolian bbq for dinner. I only ate 2 bowls but could have had at least 3 if I was hungry when I went. Be sure to add at least 4 scoops of sauce since the noodles and meat are very plain without it. Only reason this place doesn't get a fifth star is the meat quality is mediocre. Don't think I'd come here for lunch since its around 6 dollars and you only get 1 bowl.

Crystals
Categories: Restaurants, Shopping, Arts & Entertainment
Crystals is a nice place and all, but as with the rest of citycenter did not come anywhere close to matching the hype.
Positives:
3 story tall Louis Vuitton store
Touch screen directories: Not very user friendly or any more useful than a regular directory, but nonetheless extremely cool
Several cool artistic pieces
Tram straight from the bellagio, where I stayed
Negatives:
Confusing setup, difficult to get around
bland white walls, does not fit well with the artsy stuff
not even complete yet, several stores have yet to move in
lots of empty space
Why did crystals need to exist in the first place? Many of these fancy designer brands had stores somewhere else on the strip. For example does there really need to be 3 bottega veneta stores within a few blocks of each other?
Overall crystals is a nice place, but unless you're actually buying stuff here there's no need to check it out more than once. It's worth seeing since it's new and all but I wonder what will happen in a few years once the novelty has worn off.

Brunswick Covina Bowl
Categories: Amusement Parks, Bowling
Like Brunswick in West Covina, this place is great for cheap bowling. How can you go wrong with $1 games? I only downgrade this place a star because it's location and clientele is a bit shadier in comparison to West Covina but it's still a good place to have a great time.

Brunswick West Covina Lanes
Category: Bowling
Main reason this place gets a 5 is the prices. I mean how can you beat $1 bowling? This place is also a bit nostalgic for me since I bought my first bowling ball at the pro shop here. And yet, for being such a great bargain the place is actually not that bad. It's big, with tons of lanes and although the machines are old they work fine almost all of the time. The customer base is varied and diversified, with a good mix senior citizens, families, and young people. Unquestionably, my #1 place for bowling.

Oak Tree Lanes
Categories: Bowling, Sports Bars
Oh Oak tree lanes how I hate to give you such a harsh review, but your time has come and gone. I have some very fond memories of oak tree lanes, I had a birthday party here as a child and many of my friends also had parties here. That was a long time ago and my standards have changed, especially ever since bowling became an actual hobby of mine and not just a party activity. First of all this place is really beginning to show its age. The place is fairly neat for a bowling alley but the lanes are a mess. The machines are outdated but still functional. Worst of all, however, are the bowling balls. First of all they aren't brightly colored like at other bowling alleys so you can easily differentiate them based on weight. Also, for all their balls the holes were too small for my dad which made for very uncomfortable bowling. Now, this is hardly shocking since it is an old bowling alley and I've been to plenty just as bad, but where oak tree lanes fails is in the pricing. I read some of the other reviews saying the prices were fair. WHAT? I guess most people living in diamond bar are well off but still, $6 a game or $24 an hour is ridiculous for such a shoddy place. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is they still have that cool mini-arcade, which is more impressive as time goes on since arcades in the US are mostly dead.
I don't live in orange county but if I did, I think I would bowl here most often. It's not as fancy as the ultra fancy ones like 300 at gardenwalk anaheim or lucky strikes at the block but unlike those places it's actually affordable to bowl here. Like 300 and lucky strikes this place still has the jumbo screens, the loud music, the tv's for watching the games, etc so its still clearly a cut above your typical run of the mill bowling alley. Only a couple downsides to this place. For one, it's a little hard to find since because of the way the roads are set up, and their balls were subpar. Other than that I couldn't ask for much more.
Holy cow, this place completely changed my perception of what a bowling alley was. Before my friend showed my this place, I always thought bowling alleys were dusty and dirty places with old people and older machines. This place is hip, swank, and modern. The bar area doesn't look like it came from a bowling alley. There are flat screen tv's on the walls and sofa chairs. For the bowlers they have an couch rather than flimsy plastic seats. Jumbo screens, loud hip hop music, fancy lights, private lanes, pool tables, this place is clearly trying to appeal more to a younger crowd than a typical bowling alley. Even their prices are listed on a tv screen rather than some poster or plaque.
Only one issue with this place, although it's an important one, it's really freakin expensive. $8 a game friday and saturday, $6 otherwise. I can play several games for that price at other places. This isn't a place to come practice your bowling, this is a place to bring your friends and show off.

Besides IMAX this is a pretty nice movie theater. What I like best about this place is that next to the screen that shows their movie times, they show how many seats are left. Very useful for when you are in a large group. They also have a separate section that's for people 21+ only, where they serve alcohol. This place has a nice location in Gardenwalk, a relatively new shopping mall in Anaheim. Parking does cost money, but when you see a movie the first 4 hours are free with validation.
