Sapori Trattoria
Category: Italian
Neighborhoods: Lincoln Park, DePaul
Everyone who worked there from the waitstaff to the host to the owner were incredibly and genuinely nice people. Our waiter said that Sapori Trattoria is still his favorite restaurant and that he'd been coming there for years before he worked there- what a nice compliment!
Mom and I couldn't resist the combination of pumpkin ravioli and one of their specialty veal dishes. Every bite was mouthwatering! The lasagna got rave reviews from Mom's friend, so we actually asked our waiter if we could take an order home for my step-dad- no problem! I tried some the next day, and it was awesome!
I will most definitely be bringing my family or a hot date or good friends back here as soon as I can!

This is the kind of place where you can go in and ask for their suggestions without worrying that you'll get an eye roll. They will gladly give you just what you're looking for or go into great detail if you're interested. I once had a cheese monger explain the region where my cheeses originated. I love that!

The service was attentive but respectful of our space. We shared mouthwatering cake and a delicious combination of tobacco flavors, which I remember being a suggested by our server.
I may be biased, but the whole experience was hot, and don't mean from the smoke!

Recently, I brought my group of brunching friends to try out the relatively new weekend brunch. The service and mimosas were great. Everything else was lackluster. The menu options for true-breakfast foods weren't huge, and although they had soup, pizza, and other lunch-type items on the menu, they didn't have the soup available to order.
I'll still come back to Frasca for dinner, but I'll skip the brunch.

I first visited Frasca for a gathering of new Roscoe Village neighbors and was really impressed with the great staff and the glowing ambiance.
Since then, I have enjoyed their carry out pizza on many occasions. I love that you can walk in or call ahead and pick up your delicious crispy pizza in 8 minutes! The Capone (fennel sausage and onion) pizza is by far my favorite.
This local favorite is always popular on the weekends, but they also draw a nice crowd with their weeknight deals. On Monday nights, they offer 1/2 price wine bottles, and Wednesday nights, you can buy one pizza and get one free!
I recently visited Frasca for a nice dinner with my roommate and was reminded of all the great details in the atmosphere. My favorite spot is the arched south wall, which is lined with a long red booth and awesome, raw-edged, wooden tables.
The roommate and I each had an inventive martini and shared a collection of bruschetta and cheeses before devouring a Capone pizza and indulging in a mascarpone cheesecake with chocolate crust. We strolled home sufficiently satisfied but not overly stuffed, and we certainly didn't break the bank even after three courses and a cocktail!People thought this was:
