Why You Should Read My ReviewsI'm a really picky consumer and a stickler for decent customer service
My Last Meal On EarthStuffed spinach pizza, ice cold ale and hot fudge sundae
Great pizza but thin and stuffed! Giordano's beats Lou Malnati's hands down. The sauce is flavorful and the pizza has plenty of cheese and toppings.
Service in has always been good even when I've eaten there during peak times. If I had a wish list, it would be for a good slice of cake or cupcake for birthday celebrations. The one time I was there for a birthday, they brought out a pretty tasteless piece of cake with a half burnt candle. The birthday boy was disappointed in the cake....but who goes there for cake, right? Won't stop me from coming back....we will just have our cake at home!

I like this store for its produce prices and selection of really good deli meats. The navel oranges they carry are unbelievably sweet and juicy....we can't get enough and go in there every few days to stock up. The best part is the price - it's reasonable.
The deli meat is really good and if you ever stop in on a Saturday afternoon, you will wait a bit for your turn.
I do have one problem and that is the freshness of the dairy products. CHECK THE DATES! I bought expired yogurt and a gallon of milk that had a day left. Needless to say, I was pretty frazzled from a Saturday of shopping and didn't feel like running both back to get fresher products. I don't buy any dairy there and check the expiration on everything.
But, I highly recommend the produce and deli selection for price and quality.

Got to love a place that has free samples of its products. My favorite is the chocolate chip pumpkin bread but almost everything I've had is awesome! Don't go in there expecting a bland, tasteless white bread that you can roll into little balls....this bread is the real stuff and worth every penny.
I just wish I had more time in my schedule to stop in everyday!

Ok....here's a new one even for me. I really like pickles and there's something about a Burger King pickle that's really, really good. I always order extra pickles on my sandwich. I went through the drive through a few days ago in the late afternoon, ordered my sandwich and was told (after I paid) that they were out of pickles!! What?!? How can a Burger King run out of pickles? And, I guess I'm should be happy that they told me as I was leaving that "by the way...." we are out of pickles and you don't have any. At least I didn't get a few miles down the road only to assume they messed up my order. But next time, please tell me when I order if you don't have a key ingredient!
And, the ATM machine was broken. They made sure I was aware of that before I ordered. Guess they didn't want me to order and not pay.

Small, independent pet store that beats the chain stores every time. I stop in frequently to buy bones and stuff for my dog and love the fact that the kittens get to wander the store at times. I think that's great because the kittens are socialized and used to new experiences and people so you are not likely to get a skittish kitten.
The store carries the American made dog bones that I buy (no foreign manufactured stuff for me) and lots of variety in foods given the smaller size of the store.
Bottom line - I actually look forward to stopping in to shop. The big chain pet stores are not as fun and I could care less if I need to stop in.

Ok.....so they keep changing the store around and that's a bit annoying to a long time shopper. The prices are a little high on some things but for what it's worth, this is the place I shop. Here's why:
1. Excellent quality meat. The butchers are ALWAYS willing to answer questions, address concerns and will step out from behind the counter to talk to you.
2. The store personnel are very friendly! If I walk down the aisle looking confused (remember they changed the store around), I always run into an employee willing to help me. And guess what.....the employees know where to find what I am looking for or they immediately go get someone who can help me. Everytime, without fail.
3. I needed to return an item that didn't look quite right. I didn't notice it at the store, but when I got home I was not happy with my purchase. The customer service person took it back without question and didn't ask for my receipt. That's worth gold in my book. Nothing worse than trying to return an inferior product and getting the run around.
The produce prices are high at times but I try to buy what's on sale. And, the bakery has weird hours and not enough choices. Unfortunately, that's when I run across the street to Jewel for special order cakes...but that's the only time. Jewel is too big, impersonal and has very poorly trained cashiers at 75th and Naper.

Burrito Beach

Neighborhood: Near West Side
Ugh. That's all I can say about the choices of meat for burritos and tacos. The steak is fatty and full of gristle. The chicken used is the lowest cut possible and really gross. I used to come here when it first opened (about 5 years ago?) and the food was really good. Not sure what happened because now the meat is inedible. Ugh, ugh, ugh. I couldn't even finish my steak burrito.
On the plus side, the veggie tacos are quite good but I still avoid coming here now.
Seems like I'm not the only one who noticed a change. Several years ago, the line to this place was very long around lunch time. Now you can walk by at 12:15PM and no one is waiting.
I'd say skip it and pick something else in the food court for lunch.

One of my favorite places to stop for lunch or a snack with the kids. Good selection of bagels and the new pizza bagel was really good. Downside is the price...it's a bit high for what you get but it's worth it.
Everytime I've been in there, it's moderately busy. Customer service is good and they get to your order pretty quickly.
Skip the cookies for desert. They look fantastic but are actually dry and tasteless. My daughter took a bite of the mudslide cookie and refused to eat the rest....if you can imagine that!

Great food! Everything is fresh and filling. The staff and manager are very friendly. You even get a beer with your burrito!
The downside is the price...about $12 for two burritos with no drinks or chips included. Plus the parking here can be a nightmare. I think they let you park in the back by the delivery door if you call your order ahead and let them know you are there to pick it up.
We love Chipotle's food and the friendly staff at this location. It's a once a week visit for sure!

I opt for one of the wraps - a chicken bbq thing and my husband goes for the burger. We are both satisfied, full and always order the same thing next time.
Wait staff is always cordial and friendly. Last waitress was a bit young and green but she gave 110% and we were fine with that.
Free balloons for the kids is a great way to keep them happy! One of our favorite places to stop.
