Round Table Pizza

I've been patronizing this location since about 1997. As of late, their pizzas have gotten sloppy and mediocre.

My favorite is the Italian Garlic Supreme with original crust. I've loved it since its inception, and I've particularly enjoyed it at this location. However, the last two times I've had it, it's been way off. The first one only had sauce, sausage, cheese, and mushrooms. The second one (which I had a complimentary coupon for because of the first screw up) had a thick slathering of sauce,  cheese, and a handful of sausage. Today's offering, which was a small cheese pizza and a large Italian Sausage Parmesano pizza. First off, the dough was not even on both pizzas. Some parts of the dough were raw (too thick) and mushy. The cheese pizza was very thin in spots and thick in others. The Parmesano pizza didn't have enough sauce, therefore making it dry. There wasn't enough sausage, and the pizza slices were way too big.

We asked for cheese and peppers and didn't receive any. We received 4 (FOUR!!!) plates for two pizzas and six napkins. I haven't been this disappointed in a while. So in a nutshell, avoid this place at all costs. The food is absolute crap and not worth the money.

La Borgata

I'm sitting here after having a nice, satisfying Cup Noodles (chicken flavor) after having a mixed experience of having lunch at this deli.

I had a sandwich with coppa, hot salami, provolone, tomato, and mayo on a sourdough roll. I got a side of coleslaw. Mikey got a Borgata sandwich with the pasta as a side. I also purchased a sparkling water and a Limonata. The total came to a whopping $21.49.

Considering how much the food was, the quality was just not there. The sourdough roll I had was old and stale. It was hard and crumbly, which is at odds with the sourdough I've had. Sourdough should be a little crisp but chewy and slightly sour. The bread also had zero taste so I ended up taking the meat and cheese off the bread. I gave Mikey the other half and he made a face and also peeled off the bread. The hot salami was excellent and sliced correctly, as was the provolone. The coppa was a little too thick and had a stale taste to it and also was a bit dark, which suggests that it had been exposed to air for a while. The coleslaw was so bland that I put salt and pepper on it, which is something I never do. I ended up not eating it and left it.

Mikey's sandwich was very bland and not very appetizing. The pasta salad tasted as though it came out of a box. To give the deli credit, there were capers and fresh bits of parsley mixed in, so it may be that they mixed other ingredients in to make it palpable.

I was a little surprised at how clinical the space was. The atmosphere wasn't very inviting and there was too much unoccupied space. There was also a sense of doom and gloom that I couldn't quite shake. The deli case was half full and some of the meats didn't look like they were doing too well. I know that florescent light kills a lot of the lovely colors of whatever is in the cases, but it is also up to the deli to do a little bit of upkeep to make sure that whatever is in there looks fantastic enough to make a customer want it on the spot.

In-N-Out Burger

I've been to every In-N-Out burger that is within one hours drive and this is definitely the best location!

I order a double double. It only comes with the meat, cheese, spread, and bun. The reason why I get it this way is that the burger is piping hot. I think I was spoiled by this location because they get it perfect every time. I've had to return burgers at other locations because they usually put one of the produce items in and it detracts from the taste and heat.

With it being so close to us, it's always convenient. The wait isn't bad either. I've been here when they've been slammed but they still get  my order right.

Diggers Deli

Mikey and I went to Diggers Deli yesterday. What an experience.....The last time I went to Diggers Deli was in the 1990s. My recollection of the place is that it was a wonderful deli and the portions were huge! The salads were awesome and everything was cheap.

The experience we had yesterday was vastly different than what we remember from the 1990s. I got a hot pastrami sandwich that had hot mustard and "hot" cheese on an onion roll. Mikey got a turkey, avocado, and sprouts sandwich. I was greatly disappointed when we received our food. I make better sandwiches at home, with twice the amount of meat and cheese. My sandwich was no bigger than my hand (I have small hands, mind you!). It was cold in the middle, the cheese wasn't melted, and it just looked bleh. I had one half of the sandwich and closely inspected the other half. Upon opening it up, I found that the cheese was from a package, like from Sysco or Tony's. The pastrami tasted like it was turkey, not beef, and very bland yet salty. Mikey dutifully ate his sandwich but he expressed his disappointment that the sandwich was bland and uneventful.

For two sandwiches, three bags of chips, and two medium bottles of water, the total was $20.38. It is a bit on the pricey side for mediocre Sysco food. I told Mikey that we should try the deli in the Nugget next time. We don't normally go to Togo's or Subway but I think this place is on a par with those shops.

This location used to be Los Altos for years and I would come here when I lived on Batavia Road to have Mexican food. It was a cat house in the 1950s that was quite entertaining, from what I understand.

I moved back to Dixon and imagine my surprise that it is now an Indian restaurant.....a wonderful one at that. I used to love Dosa's and Taj Marin but this place has got to be the best.

The butter chicken is simply divine. My boyfriend, who has never touched basmati rice or anything remotely Indian before he met me, also loves this restaurant. The lamb korma is also nom nom nom, as is the papa dahm.

The waiter whose name I have never asked for is a character. He treats us like we are one of the family and leaves us with a pitcher of water after he makes sure that I have my glass of white wine.

I could say that maybe it is a tad pricey but I usually leave about a $20 tip because the food from the menu is to die for. Don't get the buffet as you will be disgusted with it.

I've been to several Quickly's in the Bay Area so I am used to them living up to their name, getting out food and drinks quickly.

What a joke. To get an order of chicken strips, waffle fries, and a water took 40 minutes. We also ordered egg rolls, which we did not get. The chick behind the counter looked shocked and horrified that I dared to complain. Well, what do you expect? She was also unfriendly when taking our order. Getting ghost egg rolls wasn't amusing me very much. The place was also very smoky and I could tell the oil in the fryer was at least two weeks old.

The girlie behind the counter made customers after us wait for about ten minutes before taking their orders. Funny how when we walked in there weren't any customers and they only had a handful after we came in so it wasn't like they were slammed.

The point is, Quickly's of Sacramento should be renamed Slowly's. I will not be coming here again....Oh, and did I mention that the food had a heavy, greasy, used oil taste? Bleck!!

I have had three piercigs done by these guys.

Mic did my nipple and hood. Cyrus did my septum. Both guys are awesome! They are true professionals and my piercings went seamlessly and are healed.

The one beef I have with this shop is the big girl who works the counter. She's been there on all my visits. She is unfailingly rude and snotty. She tried to tell Cyrus what gauge to pierce my septum with. I had also requested a barbel for my tongue...She was rude about that, too. When I expressed disappointment over Mic not working that day, she said in a loud shifty voice, "Mic isn't our only employee, you know!!!"

So this review would've been 5 stars if it hadn't been for Ms. Poopy Pants. Oh yeah, and she ignored me to vivaciously and rather happily chat up two girls at the counter. Bad karma.

I was supposed to meet Michael later that night. When he cancelled, my friend Diana and I were wanting a late lunch. Diana lives on Fillmore and Eddy, which is down the street, so we walked down the block to see what grabbed our palates. This place stood out and after browsing a bit, we came back here.

It was around 5.30 so there were only two other tables occupied. After looking at the menu, Diana informed me that she had never had Korean food and to pick for her. I ordered the bul go gih for here and the bi bim bap in the stoneware for me.

Meanwhile, my favorite part of the meal showed up....The pickles!! The kim chee was sour and not too spicy, as was the daikon. The two types of bean sprouts were also awesome.

The food showed up within 10 minutes of ordering. Both dishes were wonderfully flavored and I almost ate all of mine while stealing bits of meat of off Diana's sizzling plate.

I was blown away at the other reviews because service was very prompt and the food is delicious!! I cannot say enough good things about this place.

The food here is alright if you are in a mood to be cheap. The dumplings skins were thick and kind of starchy. The shrimp in the shrimp dumplings were huge and not bite sized at all. They lacked flavor and the shrimp fell out as soon as I took my first bite. The pork siu mai were dry and the bottom was inedible. The pork sticky rice was bland and it didn't have the flavor that usually accompanies such a good thing. The chicken on a stick tasted alright but it too was a little dry. I also bought the chive dumpling and that was so-so.  I will say that their food is fresh, which is why I included the second star.

Michael was surprised at how horrible it was.....He usually can eat anything and say that it was good. Diana couldn't taste so she couldn't tell you.

I should've just stuck with going to Good Luck Dim Sum like my gut (and tummy) told me to.

I was in the mood for some drinks and titties one night. Michael objected because he'd only been to the Hustler club. I managed to overpower him so the next night we found ourselves here.

I got lost getting there. Why?? I  had a stressful day at work, couldn't find the right clothes, I couldn't think past that first martini.....So I got lost.

Upon getting there though, it was awesome!! I mean, I am a chick and I thought this club was classy. The girls were scantily clad but gives a shit!

Michael and I sat down and and I ordered a martini. Michael had already had something like 4 (four!!) Scooby Snacks!! All I know about the drink is that it is sweet (bleck!) and syrupy. I, on the other hand, love drinks straight up without a chaser. No sugar for me, just on my tits.

So we sat there for a while watching the girls on stage and also the ones walking around. The first to approach us, Akina, was Thai, but didn't stay long. Two other girls also approached and I actually bought a lap dance for Michael from one of the girls who's name is Nina. Boring!! I could tell he was bored, too, so I turned my attention elsewhere. There was an Asian girl walking around with long hair and huge assed tree tattoo on her back. She went on the stage next, and OMG!! I dragged Michael up to the stage...Of course there were six other Korean women at the stage throwing money at this girl. She was gorgeous and totally hot! She came crawling up to me and we had this total eye contact thing going. Michael tried to put a dollar bill into her g-string and she shied away, telling him that she wanted ME to put one there!! She wouldn't leave until I did so and I was so embarrassed!

My experience of the Gold Club can be summoned up in one word: HOT!!
