I have been coming here for about 4 months now 5+ times a week and I have to say I love it. As the shirt says, "MANY IMMITATE NONE DUPLICATE."
The class atmosphere is awesome because exercises are for time instead of reps. There are always heavier weights or more unstable ways to do an exercise so as your fitness improves you will always be pushing it to the max. Case in point, the other day I was scanning the horizon for a barf bucket or trash can because I thought I was going to lose it.
The only way a class is ever "easy" is if you're not putting out and there are plenty of people to make sure you pay your full sweat equity.
If you are a fan of fighting, this is where you want to go. There is a world champion who trains here and a former world champion (the owner) right in San Carlos. The gym hosts various events like boxing press conferences. Basically if you like training and fighting you will love Undisputed. You can take most of the classes for the low monthly fee with no extra charges.
As for value, I work out at least 20 times a month here for between 1-2 hours each time. I feel like I am ripping them off. If you compare this to paying for something like a personal trainer it is a complete joke. If this gym cost 3x as much I would pay it gladly.
Basically I can't say enough great things about Undisputed, Brian, and the trainers that work here. It is great that average Joes in the public can get a chance to work out with this caliber of trainers and get to experience a pro level gym environment.
I used to come here quite a bit about 7 years ago. At one point my wife and I went in on the weekend. She ordered a California Roll and it came with big hunks of immitation crab in it.
Immitation crab.
Aya serves immitation food.
Why are you still reading this review, go find a Japanese restaurant that serves actual crab.
I had the regular fish burrito with salmon. Overall I have to say that I enjoyed the burrito.
My normal lunch go-to spot for Mexican is Coyote's in Belmont. In comparison these guys are slower if they have to actually cook your meat and they give you less meat however the burrito itself is larger. Unfortunately if you're trying to avoid excess carbs it makes this place worse even though their rice and beans are more tasty. Taste-wise I think I give the slight edge to La Corneta but product-wise and in terms of what I'd eat regularly I'm still going with Coyote.
The restaurant itself is nicer because it is new and there is plenty of room to sit even for larger groups. It is a great option if you roll with a large party and you need to bail on Sneakers next door due to the wait.
I can't compare location to location within the La Corneta chain accurately because at the Burlingame location I had regular spicy chicken but it seems to be very similar. A friend I was with who used to live in Glen Park said that it does not compare favorably to that location and I believe him. There is no reason to line up for this.
As is, I can see myself making it here maybe once every couple months.
The food my wife and I had here was great. We both really enjoyed it and we liked the concept of fresh ingredients and even displaying the ingredients to the customer.
I ordered carnitas nachos and ground beef soft tacos and my wife tried carne asada in a crispy and soft taco. This was a ton of food, two tacos is plenty for an entire meal here.
Unfortunately as most of the reviewers have noted the service is like a chicken with its head cut off.
My advice to you is to try and come at way off peak hours in the middle of the day when they haven't run out of their more interesting meat choices yet. All of the portions are large, so don't go crazy ordering stuff. The place being crowded probably adds to the service issues and it gets very loud inside, so try off-peak times.
If I tried it a couple more times and they manage to fix the service issues I think it could be worth an extra star.

Town is now the best restaurant in San Carlos. As such, it's pretty crowded most of the time, so for same-day reservations you're normally looking at either 5pm or 8:30 or later.
Dinner-wise I recommend the surf and turf, prime rib, or their big steak. Pretty much all the steaks are good and better than anything you'll get within a 15 minute drive.
I have seen a few reviews complaining about the margaritas. Order the Los Altos Margarita. The correct ingredients in a margarita are:
100% Blue Agave Tequila (any brand is normally ok but I prefer Patron Silver)
Simple Syrup or Agave Nectar (either)
Lime Juice
Cointreau or Gran Marnier (both are optional)
That is it. So a plain margarita is just simple syrup, lime, and tequila. This is what you want, and the Los Altos is it.
Appetizers are all good, I like to get either the California Roll or Calamari with Fennel (deep fried fennel slices for the win).
To to sum it up, this is the best overall general purpose restaurant in San Carlos. Really the main negative is that it's very loud, but I really don't mind especially after 3-4 Los Altos Margaritas.
Wow... What a difference a year makes. Town is still crowded so forget about walking in and trying to get a seat inside even if you go early.
But the food. Wow they have made a real transformation here.
I felt like a steak so my wife and I came down the hill and rolled into Town. Her main was the surf and turf. A full 8oz filet and a full lobster tail for $60. This is a great deal, especially because the chances of her actually finishing all that food were about zero; especially after the appetizer and salad course. I was right and I ended up getting to try both, they were excellent.
The prime rib is still not great, I have to say that A Tavola's Sunday special prime rib was better although Town's is totally edible and better than anything you'll get nearby.
Town is definitely back on my list of places to hit up when I want a steak.
Town stands in the carcass of A Tavola which unfortunately burned up.
A Tavola was not a steak house, but they had fresh specials including Prime Rib on Sunday or occasional specials like a veal chop. A Tavola had signature dishes like their spinach crepe appetizer.
So what does Town bring to the table? In theory it is an excellent idea as the area's steakhouses are all lousy. Town opened quite strong providing spotty service yet high quality meat with good portions.
Nowadays, the service is obnoxious, the meat tough, the quarters crowded, and the cutesy appetizers like cheese steak egg rolls have worn out their welcome.
The entire restaurant group that Town is a part of has slid horribly in terms of both service and food quality in the last couple years and Town is probably the biggest drop next to Mistral.
It's nicer than Izzy's but the food is really not at the next level. A real shame.

Dr A. and his staff are awesome. I have been recommending M&M to my friends and he asked me to give a shout out on yelp.
Why is this place so good? First I'd have to say the technology. It is clear that they study all of the newest techniques, equipment, and procedures to make dentistry as quick and painless as possible. The office and facilities are very nice and all of the staff are nice as well.
I have had a lot of procedures done here including root planing, fillings, and onlays. My teeth are holding up great.
One more thing, if you're into contact sports you can get a great mouthguard from here. M&M sells Under Armour mouthguards which use brain pad technology (you bite down on the guard and it pushes your lower jaw slightly forward). This is known to be a performance enhancer and if you're a boxer it also helps to prevent knock outs. I have been hit really hard in the mouth with mine quite a few times and my teeth are still great. The fitting they did is key in this, you can drink water, talk, etc... all with the guard in and it stays perfectly still till you pull it off.
