I give these guys 5 stars not because the buffet is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten (it is good but it is a smaller buffet than others) but because the owners have been living and working loyally in Galax for nearly twenty years and the atmosphere is warm, friendly and inviting. The owners, Priscilla and Jimmy take time to get to know you and treat you like part of the family. They started offering fantastic sushi about 7 months ago. Then they left and moved to Radford for four months and it was so sad when we lost our downtown Galax Chinese restaurant. But great news! They didn't like it there and have officially moved back to Galax and reopened. The sushi is still great (they only serve cooked kind, but they have some awesome combos!). They still have their lunch and dinner buffets. It's still fun to play a game of pool with your sweetie while kicking back a good imported beer. Prices still fantastic.

Great selection and the owners are so cool. I really enjoyed designing their rack and business cards!

Charles & Margaret are so knowledgeable about the antiques and garden center. Charles also offers landscaping service. Great folks and excellent quality antiques.

Wow..so sorry the previous reviewer had such a horrible experience! I have only been once and had a nice time. I enjoyed the wines and the tasting. I didn't purchase any myself but my companion did not have any troubles with his transaction. I do get what the last reviewer is saying though...while I did have a pleasant experience, the other owner (I am guessing the wife?) was a little cool in her presentation...not the most outgoing couple I guess but it was still a beautiful place with tasty wine so maybe plan to go with cash and an expectation that you're there to enjoy the ambiance and your companions...if its owner interaction you crave check out either Black Snake Meadery or Foggy Ridge Cider, both in Carroll County. Neither are commercial like Chateau Morrisette. And the owners at the meadery and the cidery are awesome, friendly and really interact with guests.
