It may sound so unbelievable, but YES! I give this particular location 5 stars but- only because of my experience.

I went there around the 1st or 2nd of June to pay for my brother's registration tags, and of course, since DMV is known for long lines and employees' obnoxious attitudes (in general) and snail-paced work style, I already got frustrated but I still went.

When I got there, I felt the need to go use the potty. So, after I got my number, I went and as soon as I made a turn on the corner from the door I noticed a machine that says " Self-Serve Registration Payment Machine". When I saw it, it felt like there was a beam of light that flashed on top of it and I heard the chorus " Allelujah!" ringing in my ears. OMG! So, I did my business and I went back and used the machine. There was no line for that machine and there was someone to help me with processing what I need. I was done in exactly 10 minutes- I got the tag, the registration card and the receipt for the amount I paid. The beauty of it is, I don't have to wait for anything, including my number to be called!

NOW- this machine is ONLY intended for those who need registration renewal. I don't know if this machine can help drivers with a smog check requirement. But, it's just exciting to share my best DMV experience. Who gets to say this about the DMV??

it's one of those places where you can just endulge in their selections; from appetizers to dessert; neverending! the place is cozy and the service is superb!

this place is waaaaaayyyy better than Pinkberry; yogurt buffet style! and the best part is that they have the Mochi topping and the Acai flavoured yogurt. I went to Pinkberry with my friends at it was a huge disappointment :(

this is one of the best healthy fast food places i have been into! the Caprese Panini- heaven! my fave sandwich of all...the service is great and the place is spotless!

it's located on the 3rd level of the Westside Pavilion mall on Pico and Overland.

this is probably the 1st place that pops in my head whenever im craving for something that has loads of cholesterol.

i love it here because it's clean, the service is awesome and of course, the food is absolutely delish! and the take reservations, unlike the boiling crab...i don't know now but they didn't as far as i know.

real story- we were there one night when we saw a family of 7 (all grown ups) and put out a box of latex-free blue colored gloves, wore them and started eating. i shook my head and thought of asking them if they are performing a surgery on the shrimps that they were consuming. come on! what's the use, right??

this is the real finger-lickin' good food :D take that KFC :P

my dear friend took me there for lunch as a treat for picking her up from work. i was excited coz i've always wanted to try them out. being used to The Boiling Shrimp, i was intrigued by the place because it was always crowded as how others described it.

we got there and ordered shrimps and king crab legs. for me personally- i don't see the difference between the 2 restaurants. and honestly, i prefer The Boiling Shrimp. i like the king crab legs thou. that was awesome!

the day that we went there, the service was so-so...not something i expected based on the raves that the other people told me... :(

now open at nights!! beer & wine license was released and they're ready to p-a-r-t-y!!! calamares with corona and lemon on the side, anyone?

one restaurant that has the typical chicken-fries-biscuit menu, but don't knock them 'til you try them. the chicken: finger-licking good. the biscuit: heavenly...

if you want to spend your money well, this is the place to go to. seafood galore! 1 fault thou: you sould be hungry for at least 3 hours. this place gives a whole meaning to the 'SEE-FOOD' diet; everything you see, you eat :P

again, this is not about the location itself, but the main company, particularly the technician that I will conceal by the name of Jackass.

we signed up for the internet service last week and the rep scheduled us for Monday (22/Feb/10) at 3-5 PM.

fault#1: the tech showed up 20 mins past the appt time. fault#2: he told me that he doesn't have enough cables because the source of the connection is a block away. so, he scheduled me for the next day at a 9-12 noon slot.

next day came (23/Feb/10), and we all twiddled our thumbs waiting for this guy to show up. finally at 1 PM, i called the 800 number, and to my surprise, the tech told the agent that there wasn't any appt made, which brings us to fault#3: how dare he lie to the agent and to me, huh?. so, the agent apologized and told me that the tech will call me in an hour.  

2 PM came, no call received; fault #4. *sigh* of course i called again. same thing happened; the agent apologized and told me that this time, the tech's SUPERVISOR will call me in 20 minutes. 2:30 came, no call; fault #5. i called back, and this time the agent told me that someone will come to hook us up before 7 PM and if the tech shows up late, $20 will be credited to our monthly bill. 7:15 came. fault#6. this time, i called and bitched. i never felt so good.

finally, someone from the company called and told us that a tech will arrive the next day at around 2-4 PM. wednesday came (24/Feb/10). amazingly, not only did he told us that the source of the connection was just in the back of our house, but also he told us that the first tech was just a lazy motherf&^%r. and he told us that a cable contractor almost always has enough to hook up a whole block if he wanted to. so, all those  mishaps that happened 2 days prior was done by a tech who probably needed to crap so badly in his house that he had to head out, leaving us hanging in the air.  new customers like us were already treated like rubbish. how beautiful is it?

thanks to the 2nd tech. he was really helpful. for the 1st tech? whether he got yelled at or not, the thing that makes me wonder is that people like Jackass gets the job, and those who really deserve the job doesn't get it.
