Jolie's a cute place, nice setting with a large room at the back, decorated nicely with huge paintings. I think the had the music pretty loud that night, and it seems it correlate with the dimming of the light. The dimmer the light the louder the music. At one point we had to scream to hear each other.
The food was OK, I love my Poire Rotie A L' Epoisse salad, (roasted bosc pear with Époisses cheese, topped with baby mesclun truffle essence and toasted almond) The dressing is to die for. My entre, Filet De Bar Grille A La Courge Et Au Mails (grilled wild striped bass over roasted acorn squash and served with sweet corn & shrimp sauce) was under whelming. Worst of all was the Cafe au lait, I swear there were no coffee in there.
I must say, I will give it another try.

I was on my way to Setagaya Ramen for lunch, walking on 14st when I saw this Ramen house. The interior was nice, bright and new. The lay out very similar to setagaya but with more space. I learned then that Kambi is a sister restaurant to Minca.
For this first visit I ordered tofu appetizer and basic ramen. The tofu was plentiful with very nice nutty gingery sauce. The ramen came with superb garlicy sauce and delightful meat, prepared with hand torch in front of mw, what a show. When it comes to noodle it self, this place fell below par . It was thick, white and a bit chewy, it could take another half to a inute in the boiling water. I wonder next time it would be OK to ask to cook it a bit more? It would make a great bowl!

The food arrived well coordinated, a group of 8 of us get our meals at the same time. Drinks were on the table much earlier. The service was good. The burger looks good. Each order comes with 3 individual sealed bottles of ketchup, mayo and mustard. Impressive. One bites into the burger and the stringy sexy fries and I know the waiter had the bragging right about their burger. It was great. I must say I will come back some other time when in Seattle.

I love this place for being a genuine and iconic bar and eatery in Hoboken. The setting is great, bright on the outer ring by the windows and dark with true vibe of and old bar in the inner section. Nicely lighted, good selection of drinks but the food was much to be desired. The service was prompt and very civil for a bar.The skimpy serving with dried and tough meat, makes me wish Arthur's quality. So I'll come to Maxwell for drinks and concert.
