I like this place so much that even if I had to suffer an inebriated Russian puking in my truck again, I'd still go back.  The fact that I won't have to submit to those terms means the only puking I'll be subjected to is my own from ordering one too many flights of whiskey on future return visits.

This stand is a Turlock institution. Providing local, sustainable, high quality strawberries before Alice Waters hijacked what was just a normal way of farming, eating & living for most of us that grew up in the sticks. If it's strawberry season and you happen to be driving along highway 99 it's worth a short detour to grab a box of strawberries.

Yes, they pretty much only serve Mac n Cheese with a few sides, salads, and desserts, but they do it well!  When compare to some other places in Oakland that focus on one type of dish with a few other options you can really see how that concept can be hit or miss.  That other "stuff in a bowl" place doesn't think it's necessary to make the main ingredient in their bowls very well, at Homeroom they understand that it's the one thing they better do almost to perfection.  They aren't sprinkling the latest fad spice on hot dogs made from the lips & assholes of the most rare pigs from a remote south pacific island to go into their Trailer Park while ignoring the pasta and cheese sauce in the bowl.

I've tried almost every type of Mac n Cheese that they serve and the only suggestion for improvement that I could think of is to make the spicy Mac n Cheese more spicy.  My favorites have to be the Vermont and Mac the Goat.

Their homemade oreo cookie and other desserts are not just afterthoughts either.  Sometimes I feel like coming by just to have a house brewed root beer and Oreo cookie, that's how good they are.

14 hours to fly to Sydney from San Francisco and 14 hours back, non-stop.  How did I do it without flipping out?  The Hahns flowed pretty freely on the flight!  Love you Quantas!  They also had a ridiculously great selection of in flight entertainment to watch.

We were on a quest to find Guinness in Australia, which was surprisingly in short supply.  With a name like O'Malleys we were sure they would have what we were looking for, or we'd burn it to the ground.  They didn't disappoint.  The Guinness was cheap too!  The people here were really friendly and we had a great time.

I had my first Australian meat pie at this place!  A huge part of my desire to visit Australia was to get drunk and eat a meat pie and Pie Face did not disappoint in providing it's half of bargain.  One taste of that flakey pastry and succulent meat filling and I wanted to move to Sydney to repeat this experience night after night!

This Holiday Inn was very conveniently located near the Kings Cross rail station which can then get you to many locations around Sydney with ease.  The neighborhood was also rich with bars, cafes and restaurants.  Rooms were pretty standard and the hotel staff were great.

Technical issues are keeping me from changing the star rating to 4 stars, which is what I want to rate this hotel based on the staff and great location.

This is where my love for Carl's Jr began.  It was all about the perfectly seasoned crinkle cut fries and fried zucchini back in the day!  Nowadays I'm stuffing double western bacon cheeseburgers down my throat with a side of ability cheese fries.  Yep, I'm a fatty!

While walking here my BBBFF informed me that she can now flex her pecs and make her boobs bounce. This in no way influenced my enjoyment of dinner! Serious...

The first thing you'll notice about this place is that it is small! If you are familiar with this neighborhood though, you'll know that square footage comes at a premium so many of the best places are shoehorned into tight confines.  Trust me though, if a wait is required it is worth the wait.

The japche is the best I've had and the primary reason for this review.  The sesame and beef flavors were deep and veggies fresh.  I'll be ordering this often.

KFC, we aren't talking Colonel Saunders...Korean Fried Chicken!  The breeding was unique.  It was more like a true breaded fried chicken as opposed to a battered and fried chicken, if that makes sense.  The sweet and spicy sauce was very well balanced, but that may not satisfy those looking for an inferno in their mouths when they have KFC.  Ask them to make it spicy if that is your thing and I'm sure they will accommodate.

The dol sot bibimbap had beautifully crunchy rice at the bottom of the stone bowl.  That always makes me happy!

I'll be taking the N Judah out here as much as I can just to come try more dishes!

It's places like Marlowe that make the Bay Area dining scene as great as it is. Anna Weinberg and Jennifer Puccio give us a warm and comforting restaurant that also has style and most importantly, delicious food. What goes in your mouth is what this restaurant all about.  Customers are treated like they are guests at someone's home being welcomed to a good meal, not food groupies needing to be impressed. You get courtesy, comfort and respect here. The location is also great for a pre-Giants game bite or post happy hour dinner.

I'm a big fan of beets and their beets and burratta dish is something i'd probably never get tired of eating.  The dill, basil, mint and Aleppo chili oil provide layers of flavor that allow you to experience the dish in a number of different delicious combinations.  The crispy brussels sprout chips are not just hype.  They are seasoned perfectly and fun to munch on while enjoying a cocktail.  The red wine porcini jus on the steak frites is a great alternative to a more common sauce béarnaise. I only had one bite of the Marlowe Burger, but it was enough to know that it will be my next order when I return here.  Finishing off my meal with the upside down peach crisp with bourbon ice cream and brown butter caramel sauce was wonderful.

Simply delicious food, as all restaurants should strive for.
