As far as the "scene" goes -- I don't know what the fuss is about, it kinda felt like Black Angus did in the '80s. A lot of "dudes", or other future mid-life crisis-types trying too hard to be seen. If it wasn't for that sausage-fest, I probably would have given 5 stars.
A very low-key, informal tasting environment, staff was very friendly.
And who knew Raymond Burr was from Vallejo? Go figure...
I have to say, I was very impressed with Everett's reds. The Diablita blend, although the most inexpensive wine on their list, really hit home for me. A mix of Merlot, Cab, Syrah, and Petite Syrah just ecstatically made it feel like there was an orgy in my mouth. Not to be outdone, their Zin, Syrah, and Petite Syrah were quite excellent.
Finished off with a taste of Port -- I'm not a big port lover, but with Everett, I'm now a convert. A couple bars of Scharffenberg that they sold there topped off the tastebud titillation.
Cool, African-inspired artwork, great views of the vineyards, and a bowlful of Cheetohs on their tasting bar made for a great overall experience.
Nonetheless, a great place for some greasy food, fries, and beer. Weather permitting, eating outside on the graffiti-laden, older-than-dirt picnic tables really gets you in the "play hooky from work" mode.

Though everything on the menu looked good, I opted for the Chevre Chaud - spinach salad with toasted almonds, roasted red peppers, goat cheese toasts, and balsamic vinaigrette. It was mouth-watering and left me wanting more. Their coffee was really good as well -- not your typical crappy restaurant coffee, nor the commercially-Starbucks-ish type coffee either. Really good stuff.

Great "comfort food", especially after a long bike ride or run. Of the few times I've done dinner there, the open-faced crab melt sandwich absolutely made me do my "O" face.

I've held a few client parties here, and the food has always been top notch.
My favorite recommendation is the Verde Blanca Roja (red, white & green) -- a good combo plate which is absolutely mouth watering. Their chips and home-made guac are also "like buttah".
