I don't particulary like the food at Tillman's, but only because it's not my style. But I do believe that what they do, they do well. I went for my birthday last year and my friend ordered some type of chicken breast dish and it came with (wait for it) - watermelon. Wha...? Yeah, that was kind of odd. And a bit pricey for the serving sizes.
Also, I was preggers last year so I ordered a virgin pomegranate mojito. Once we got the bill I saw that the waiter charged me for a regular mojito. Booooo! $14 for pom juice and mint is NO. BUENO.
Still, the decor is incredible and the owner is a very friendly woman with a lot of spunk. Check out the menu. If it's your type of food, I suggest making the very short trek to Oak Cliff to eat at Tillman's. It's a mere 3 miles from downtown D.

I haven't actually been here yet, but my baby daddy brought me one of their lattes once and let me say - best damn latte I've ever had. The coffee itself gets 5 stars, but I'll save a rave review for when I visit the cafe in person. Yum!

This is - hands down - our favorite place to eat as a family. It's a combination of a tiny neighborhood market + causal eatery. Seriously, it's like going over to your neighbor's for dinner. Totally unassuming, the people are incredibly sweet, the food is affordable, and I've never had a better pupusa.
So what the heck's a pupusa? It's a thick corn tortilla, pan-fried, and stuffed with all sorts of goodness. I prefer the black beans and cheese.
Aaaanyway. Forget I wrote this review. I don't want people to find out about one of the best casual places to eat in Oak Cliff. *shifty eyes*
