Now this is my favorite Indian resteraunt in the Boston area. I had the buffet brunch last week, and it was a pleasant surprise. The garlic naan was excellent, and the meats were tender and of the highest quality. I'm definately headed back!

B-Side is a neighborhood landmark bar. From Beatles to punk...the music is as meticulously selected as the classic drink menu. The bartenders are elite and sharp-witted.
Go there to be social, or just to catch a game on TV. I offten settle on an IPA to compliment the Pizza of the Day. (Always a good choice)
The menu boasts a wide variety...all well-prepared; ask for the specials. The cook is fantastic.

Although pricey, this place is buzzing with the yuppie crowd. The food is great; the atmosphere is fun. Try the saffron scallops, or the lobster ravioli tapas. My favs.
Every time I come here there is a big party (or two), which the very friendly staff handles elegantly.

Art & Soul studio is not your ordinary yoga school. Here, yoga is taught in such a way that you may, indeed find equilibrium. Whats more, you will learn much about yourself.
Words cannot do this school (or gurudevi Billie Jo Joy) justice. She is an elite teacher.
Billie Jo's instruction is poetic, and your body and mind will truly respond. She teaches an Iyengar-style, and mixes-in readings from sufi poets, Pantanjali, and others. You will laugh, and leave there with a smile.
This studio has earned my respect more than any other. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed!

For a scientist or engineer, this is the most interesting bookstore around. My favorite, to be sure. Although the selection isn't as vast as the other popular bookstores in Cambridge, the mix appears to be selected very carefully. I could very easily drop a few hundred bucks here. (...saving a semester of tuition for a bunch of electives!) No surprise that many books are scholarly works by MIT profs.
Check the wall behind the register, for example; its easily worth a couple of Sloan semesters.
Beware: After an hour of thumbing though the quasi-textbooks and professorly works, you're world-view may be altered forever.

While this french-inspired bistro is typically an upscale affair (the service and atmosphere are polished...impeccable), the space becomes more relaxed for weekend brunch...and so do the prices. It is perhaps the best brunch in town, yet astonishingly affordable. I think the fixed-price brunch runs less than $10. Definately worth it. Make a reservation though, as it is no secret. I've met plenty of folks who make the journey from other towns to the north and to the west, just to enjoy this weekend experience.

Best Burger in Cambridge. And the malt shakes are sublime. The joint is buzzing with electricity, yet it is not that long a wait to get seated. If you are asked to wait, don't fret, there is a Harvard bookstore at the end on the block. Great place for a date.

Pepper Sky's Thai Sensation

I love this place because the location, decor and attitude is so unassuming that the food is shockingly delicious. The "spicy" pad thai is classic. Wash it down with a "fresh lime & soda" drink that they make on the spot....reminds me of the street-side vendors in India.
The triangular crab rangoon is also a solid choice because it is different from what you'll expect.
