Best place in Seal Beach for great beer. They always have a good selection of craft brews, you can even download an APP that provides a HOP CAM to further inform you on beer selection. The food is a perfect accommodation to your beverage. If you're in this area and want some good food and drink, do yourself a favor and come to this place.

My server started out great. He was nice and informative. However after he took our food order, we didn't see him again for another 30 minutes. I think he went on break without informing us. We wanted more drinks and appetizers but our service wasn't attentive. There were even people walking in waiting to be seated, and left after not being attended to, let alone greeted.

On the bright side - My TIGER beer was good and the atmosphere of the place was inviting.

A bum sat next to me, ate my cinnamon twists and explained - "Off Beach and Edinger, there is a man dressed as a frog handing out five $20 bills, a bag of Wienersnitchel and a bottle of vodka."

It's Taco Bell, what else should we expect?

3 starts for the renovation and nice employees.

sound:
This venue / club also has music performances. I saw Glassjaw and Rx Bandits here earlier this week. From where I was standing, the sound wasn't so great. The giant speakers are centered above the stage and is muffled from anywhere else other than the middle of the place.

Appearance:
The inside of the place was nice; you can spend a great time staring at the detail of the ceiling however, they should take more care of the restrooms, it was kinda' disgusting.

Please note:
-If you are with a person who is under 21, they must enter through a separate door!. Its not easy to find each other when that place is pretty full. Make sure to plan and meet somewhere!

-If you're a collector of ticket stubs, make sure to get it after the show because they hold 'em hostage.

If you're with a friend in Hollywood, and just got out of an awesome show, don't screw it up by going to this place.

We were trying to avoid the massive pizza and hot dog selection that was available at 12am. We saw this place walking down Hollywood blv. and thought that we would give it a shot. Our server wasn't very good and the atmosphere was awkward. As for the food, if you're in Hollywood, you can find better.

This is the Homie right here. Or maybe I was in there so often last summer that I added the owner as a beneficiary. Anyways, one of the very few liquor stores around this area that has Mississippi Mud stocked.  He also has a wide selection of hard alcohol if you feel like gettin' crazy. Grab a bottle of Sailor Jerry, head to the beach, sing with some friends, pass out on the stair way on your attempt to return home. This store has plenty to guide your thirsty soul.

3 Things that are extremely important when visiting a new music venue.

1) sound quality

2) having a comfortable place to relax between bands

3) reasonably priced drinks

El Rey has all of these, from sound to ambiance. Show owner comment »

My roommate brags on how awesome the sushi deals are at this place, so he convinced a group of us to head in for dinner.

here's what I enjoyed:
-Service was good, friendly.
-They have Sapporo and Kirin Ichiban as beer choices!
...most of all, since I was the only one in the group who cannot eat sushi, (medical reasons) I was impressed with their terriyaki steak and chicken dinner. The presentation was as adorable as the taste.

on the negative side:
the restroom was disgusting!!  Makes me wonder how sanitary the kitchen really
is?

everything  else was great, the location is awesome.. on Birch near the movie theater.
