I won't go here again. You have to go through a really ridiculous maze to get to the check out line. The maze includes row after row of product to tempt you, tease you, it's ridiculous. And then you have to wait in line anyway even though there is atleast over 30 checkout stations but not near enough checkers. THEN, after you just paid and it's not so easy to go back in the store, you have to be checked out by showing them your receipt. He didn't check my bag, just looked at the receipt and graced it with his pink highlighter?? What's the purpose of that, except to annoy people. I told the guy I hated their maze and he was a jerk, he said, Well I have to have something to do here. I told him, well I guess I don't have to come here again, and he had the nerve to say, well there you go. They obviously do not value customers or customer service.

I came here many months back b/c of a kitten emergency in which I was very upset and panicked and they were really wonderful in handling the situation with kitty and dealing with an upset pet-owner. I've taken my animals here since for routine shots, etc. They offer you the things they suggest, but do not pressure you to buy. They have a clinic every Sat. Noon to 4 for routine shots at a discounted price and no office visit fee. The front office could be warmer and more interactive.

We had a late lunch here on Saturday and my brother and Mother and I all loved our first time experience. The owners are very nice and accomodating. We were concerned that we could not get my brothers large wheelchair inside to a table, but they moved whatever we needed to help us.

We enjoyed the complimentary soup tasting which was very tasty and also the grilled bread with a tomato salsa was very tasty. My brother and I had a taco with rice and beans. Everything was VERY fresh, prepared well and in a really nice way. The beans were served in a hard tortilla bowl, the rice is the tasty, non tomato kind with vegetables and my brothers shrimp taco was very enjoyable. I had the fish taco and it was a light fish, not heavily breaded, served with shredded cabbage, tomato, cilantro and a good white sauce. Mom had the shrimp ceviche tostado and she loved it. I tasted the ceviche and found it to be very fresh, and light tasting, lemony but the flavors were perfect. The tostado was heaped high with the ceviche and served with other chips.

It's a very nice atmosphere for a not so big restaurant. Decorated nicely, and in taste. We are so happy to have a nice place in this town to grab a bite.

I called another florist in Whittier and they were going to charge a $20 delivery charge to Bellflower which I thought was ridiculous. So I came to Yelp to find a florist in the area of a funeral and found the White House. I called and placed an order with Mary. She assured me unprovoked that they'd do a good job.

My Mom went to the services last night and she said the first thing everyone in the family said was how lovely the flowers were and she saw them and she said they were gorgeous. So I called the shop to tell Mary how pleased we were and that we would definitely use them in the future. It's important to tell them when they do a great job.

My late Father for some reason always called this place Bea's. I don't know why.  I don't remember going there as a kid either, but once we started going there we always go back. I like the #14, a green chile, bean & cheese burrito. It has real roasted strips of green chile. I ask for it "skinny" meaning smaller because it's a hunka hunka burrito. My brother likes the #17 burrito with red chili, this one has meat in it, mom likes the hard tacos which are deep fried and piled high with fresh lettuce and thick shredded cheddar cheese. The taquitos are good even though they have the old ball park watery guacamole. The fries are really good, i don't know how they do it, but they may blanch them first and then fry to order. We recently started ordering the tostadas too which I like without meat, mom likes with meat.

Their quality is good, always, it never changes. It's not fancy, you order to go or there are a few tables to sit at outside. The one guy there always remembers me, and I don't have to ask for lemon or green sauce, he knows.

Cash only. Irritating, but true. Old school.

My Auntie wondered if they still had butterscotch pie which she said was soooo good. I had never been to the one in Temple City, but knew of it's reputation. I hear the same people own this Pie n Burger, they moved to this location. It's not fancy, it has a long bar for you to sit at and a couple tables in the back. The menu isn't fancy, but what I like is that what they do, they do well. We had a cheeseburger which is a tad small by California standards but plenty big for me and wow, tasty. The thousand island dressing is very good, the burgers only have dressing, pickle and lettuce on them, i think you can ask for tomato or other items if you want. I had the BLT which was very good, good fresh crispy bacon, mayo, lettuce and tomato on what I read is homemade bread, toasted. It came with a nice amount of fries.

So, the big deal we came there searching for, the big question, Do you still have butterscotch pie? Yes!! It was right in front of me in the case, heaped high with lovely toasted meringue. They make it every other day, alternating with peanutbutter meringue pie. We were there on the right day. We had a slice and also a slice of boysenberry. Both very good, the pie tastes like real homemade, like homemade crust and filling. I couldn't finish the pie, so I have a nice snack tonight. I thought of getting a whole pie for my Aunt who I'll see on Saturday, but the waitress said the crust would get soggy. So sorry, Auntie, maybe next time!

I like this place. You order your food and then grab a table and they bring you your food. We had the crab wontons, the mongolian beef and the thai coconut curry. The wontons are really good, almost as good as my homemade ones, the mongolian beef we were told was their top seller and we know why, it was really tasty. The beef was really flavorful and tender and the thai coconut curry we had with chicken and again, it was tasty and the chicken was yum. I like the value and price and we will be back.

I've been going here with family since I was a child. My Father would ask me if I wanted to go to the place with the animals who ran through the wall. I knew where he was talking about, they have deer and other animal heads hung up. I also remember the "nudes" on the wall. The lovely old fashioned art on the walls.

This is a go to for Birthdays, celebrations or just if you get hungry for their exceptional salads and cheese bread. The red cabbage salad is like no other and believe me, i've tried to duplicate, tried many variations on recipes and nothing is like Northwoods red cabbage salad. Same for their plain iceberg salad. It is just iceberg lettuce chopped, but the dressing is exceptional and again, I have found no good substitution. And the cheesebread, oy, the cheesebread!! So fattening, but so good!!

I went here recently for my birthday and usually I just have the salads, bread and a potato with the whipped cheese butter, but I felt like a filet mignon which comes with the salads, bread and potato. The filet was cooked to perfection. Truly, it's hard to get a properly cooked filet at medium rare. The inside was like butter, so tender and tasty.

No, it's not cheap but sometimes good food shouldn't be cheap.

We were in Hollywood to watch a taping and my Aunt said to me if I would mind going to Philippe's for lunch afterward. What's Philippe's, I asked? She looked at me as if I was from another planet. How could I be born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley and not know Philippe's?!

I had the double dip beef dip, a pickle and macaroni salad. The beef dip is to die for and you have to try the special mustard sauce with it! I bought a bottle to take home with me, it's so good. Like clear your sinuses good! I tried a spoonful of the potato salad because they said it was so good. And I do not really like potato salad. But I like this one! Yummy! I can't wait to go again. And I hear they have good breakfasts also.

I'm so a fan!

We were in the area watching a taping of the Dr.Phil show and my Auntie wanted to go here because she loves their chicken pasta dish. We had a really nice lunch here. I had the broccoli cheese soup which was the best I've ever had, it didn't have that gummy glue like consistency, it was creamy and cheesy and really good. The Crab Cake Sandwich was really good too. Tasty and fresh on a nicely toasted french baguette. My Aunt had the chicken penne pasta which looked wonderful and she said it's how she remembered it but with penne instead of farfalle. A friend in our party had the fish tacos and she loved it. They have a really nice cole slaw on them. It's a cute place with cute little shops around it. Next time I will try their salads. They have a nice menu.
