I go to Vegas at least once a year and this place is my favorite place to stay. First, the rooms are top notch. Clean, large rooms, with 42 inch lcd TVs. This place is only a few years old and still looks great. The rooms are a world better than cheap places on the strip and actually better than some mid price places like New York. Why pay twice as much just to stay on the strip? They have a game room, bowling alley, and movie theater too.
Of course they have a huge casino with good slots and $5 tables. Good place for craps. Fun to play and good drinks.
For the past couple of years they have been giving out coupon books when you stay there. They have a coupon for buy one get one free lunch buffet. You can also use it for the weekend brunch which is great. I eat there every time I stay. Hotel rooms are around $50 mid week.
On the down side, I've only eaten in the cafe once and it was so so. Also, this place is about 5 miles south of the strip on the I15. For some people this is a negative but I don't mind at all. If we want to go to the strip we drive and wait to drink until we get back to the casino. Plus, parking at South Point is easy and close to the elevators. No point in gaming at other places when South Point has $5 tables.

Los Primos Mexican Food
Categories: Fast Food, Mexican

This is a great place to get food if you are in the UCSD area. I love the chilie relleno burritos. They serve them wet style with tons of cheese inside. My Mexican wife is picky abou her carne asada but she really likes if from here.
Not only is it good food, but its a good value for being in La Jolla. I get a huge burrito for $5. Much better tasting and cheaper than several of the food court places at the mall down the street. During the school year there are always busy, so expect a few minutes wait to get your food.

I really like the pizza and breadsticks from here. The regular crust is pretty thick, but it's good. If you have kids, this is a great place to go as they have rolls of paper towels in leu of napkins. Its a big place, but I would advise against going after little league games because it can get crowded. My only complaint is its a little pricey, so check the website for specials.
I've always loved the food at the Olive Garden. I went yesterday with my wife and I found the food great. To start, I usually get salad but they just came out with the nutrion facts in restraunts so I got the minestrone soup instead (only 100 cal per serving, salad is 350). It was fantastic. I had two bowls. My wife loves the chicken dumpling. Both of our entrees were very good too. My only complaint about the food is the breadsticks this were a little dry and my wife ordered her meat well done but it was a little on the medium side. (Last time her father ordered well done and had to send it back)
What I don't like about this place is the employees are not really prepared for how busy it is. I've been here three times in the last year and every time the wait is longer than they say. Yesterday is was just my wife and I. They told us 25 to 30 minutes and is was almost 40 minutes. Do not come here with a large group! Last year we came with a large group and it was over an hour and a half when they told us 45 minutes.
Our server this time was fine, not friendly, but did a good job.
Pricewise, I feel this place is over priced. Next time I think we'll go for lunch and just get the all you can eat soup, salad, and bread.

This place is part of the Los Jilbertos Taco Shop chain. I believe they have six locations around here. Overall I like the food and have gotten takeout several times over the past two years. The last time I went I got a burrito which was very good. The reason I only gave it three stars is because my wife and I think their plates are only OK. I've gotten the chile relleno plate. It's good but soooo greasy. My wife has gotten the Carne Asada and is not a favorite of it (she can be very picky, but there are places she likes a lot better).
The staff there have always been very nice and the place is clean. I've always gotten my food fast. They do steady business but the line is never too long. They have a salsa bar too. Take cash because they charge for you to use your debit card.
I'll still go to this place once in a while but I'll stick to the burritos

I have been coming here for years and love it. They have cheap weekday specials (my favorite is $0.99 tostadas and $1.75 bean and cheese burritos on Wednesday) and good food. Unless its the special its going to be a more expensive than Miguel's Jr. but I like this better. My favorite is the chile relleno burrito. I love the guacamole inside them. The salsa bar is also very good.
Anyone who has spent some time in California knows about In-N-Out. This one is really no different from the rest. Some locations have a reputation for having very long, slow lines and some are very fast. This one is in between and has an average wait time. Food has always been great.

What I did not like about the place was the arcade. Every game I tried was broken to some extent. I love pinball and they have three, but they are in terrible condition. My wife and I tried a shooting game and both guns were not working properly. My sister and I tried a great game called Panic Park, a hard to find but really fun game, but the controls didn't work at all. Almost everything there is a bunch of used imported crap. Many of the games still have Japanese roms installed so you can barely understand what you're supposed to do. It looks like the owner tried to save money by importing a couple shipping containers of used Japanese machines but ended up with a big mess. What's really bad is that all of these broken games are obviously broken yet still turned on. They obviously do not employ anyone who knows how to fix this crap.
Bottom line; I recommend the bowling but avoid the arcade!
