Props to Domino's for its new PR campaign. We decided to try it one afternoon because I'd been wanting to try its new baked sandwiches. Once we got inside we saw that they offered a meal for two, consisting of two bread bowl pastas and two 20 oz. drinks for $15.99 -- SOLD! They were more than satisfying. The crust was crisp and buttery and the pasta -- mine Italian sausage marinara, my husband's the chicken alfredo -- was out of this world! I want a stab at another flavor ASAP!
The store was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. I only wish Domino's had a dining room, however that's not the idea behind Domino's Pizza, is it?

We come out here regularly to enjoy the famous Jason Burger, which comes in a variety of combinations. The drinks are priced right and there are plenty of pool tables if that's your thing. There is also family seating separate from bar seating, so kids are welcome and undisturbed by bar patrons. Tuxedo owner Pam has always been a gracious hostess, too. Give it a go!
This store is such a lifesaver! Anyone who's been to Walla Walla know that you're either at the post office or an inconvenient distance from it. If you are there, you never know how many times you may have to circle the block for a parking spot or how long you may have to stand in line. The UPS Store even prevented me from having to make a stop at Staples and do some back tracking -- awesome! I made copies, bought an envelope, had postage applied and dropped in the mail slot -- all in one stop that took less than 10 minutes. I'll be back, oh yes....
I love this jewelry store! If you're a fan of Pandora bracelets, you're in luck. They have every charm available. The store carries a variety of items from high HIGH quality bridal pieces to very affordable gifts. They regularly have great sale items, too. None of it cheap but one-of-a kind and high quality. And the customer service is out of this world. I only with it were bigger!
I can honestly say this is the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken (extra hot) with hot spicy soup. Serious problems arose when entrees were served. The only fresh vegetable on my plate were chopped onions and green peppers -- cheap items to add to give the appearance of freshness. The rest of the veggies in the entree included CANNED mushrooms, frozen peas and cubed carrots. And it had been sitting in the kitchen for some time in as it was very dark in color and not fresh at all. My husband had the fried rice which he said had a "metallic taste" to it. This made him afraid to continue eating his teriyaki chicken.
I'm sure these folks are nice people, but honestly..... canned mushrooms???? One of the expectation of having Chinese food is that you can have a meal with nice fresh veggies in it; Not the case here. Trying to cut costs in the kitchen will surely cost this place repeat business.

This was a one-shot dining experience for me. The decor was nice, and everything appeared clean, but the food.... The food was seriously lacking any seasoning to give it some punch. The gravy on the almond chicken (okay, Westsiders... we live differently over here) lacked any hint of salt or pepper. The sweet and sour pork was heavy on the vinegar and not much else. My extra-hot orange chicken was okay, but not something i would order again. Perhaps the weekend karaoke will bring me back again one day, but it won't be the food.
Many things I like about this place. I like the cleanliness, the customer service and the public restroom. Hey... I never said I was hard to please.
The folks working here know their business. I speak specifically of the gal who seems to be running the electronics department. She helped me select a great camera and did so using her expertise as a photographer. Each time I visit the store and walk up to the ink cartridge wall, someone is there asking, "Can I help you find something?" I love it. The only thing that is a bit amiss is the copy center. They are regularly understaffed, so I wouldn't procrastinate if you need a copy order taken care of. I've sent in copy orders via the Internet, too, which is very handy but extremely pricey; that, however, is a corporate matter.
I say give it a go.

I cannot count the number of times I've walked toward the (singular) only open checkout to see a long line of people, then looked at the number of things I had in my hands and asked myself "How badly do I need this stuff?" On more than one occasion I've said, "Screw it," put the stuff down and walked out. Who has the kind of time it takes to check out of this place. Not I. The same problem occurs when you're looking for a store clerk for help or someone to unlock the dressing rooms. It's very frustrating.
I understand the need for corporate America to tighten its belt--we all have to do that--but not at the expense of customers. If you have time to wait in a line, this place can meet your basic needs. If you're in a hurry, you may consider spending the extra money somewhere else because, after all, our time is worth something.

One of my absolute favorite wineries in the Walla Walla Valley. The setting is georgeous! The new tasting room is divine, with a counter made of what must be more than a ton of shaped and polished dark basalt. And the short wall beneath the basalt counter is decorated with woven grape vines; It's stunning. Now the wine... Nothing against the Reininger wines, I just have a fondness for the winery's Helix lable. Red wine lovers will love the 2008 Aspersa, a white wine that's not too sweet. Helix's blended Pomatia is crazy good, as is its Merlot, which was graded 91 points. I could go on and on about Helix, but just head out on Hwy 12 and try it for yourself!
