Went for lunch, stayed for the fun.  Had a great time today at lunch, got their Tavern Dog.  HUGE Dog on a really good sub roll,  really tasty.  I asked for extra coleslaw to put on my dog and they thought it was a great idea!

But like other reviewers said, I went for the food and the drink, and made a couple friends while I was there. Definitely making this one of my  regular lunchtime spots!

I saw the sign "Fords Fish Shack" and being from New England, I seriously got my hopes up.  

When I see fish shack, I'm expecting to see a platter of various freshly-fried seafood on the menu.  Fish and Chips, and Fried clams... that's about it.  Very Disappointing.

Tnly thing I saw that reminded me of Maine was the Lobster Roll, the fried clams, and the Whoopie Pies.  My other complaint?  The wine and cocktails was a 1/3 of the menu... I started to wonder if these guys were a bar that served food or a restaurant with a bar.  The beer and wine selection was well done, almost like they put a lot of thought into that part of the menu and just threw together the entries part of their offering.

I got the lobster roll, it was seriously ALL Lobster... too much in fact, not enough mayo or celery.  I literally had to eat the rest of the lobster off my plate because it kept falling out from being overfull.   On the upside, the roll was done perfectly.

The decorations seem like they are trying too hard to be "Maine", IMO.

The waitstaff was competent, although the hostess seemed confused that it was just myself eating and that I wasn't with someone else.  She appeared to freeze up on where to seat me (which was odd since it was lunchtime and yet there was free seating in every section, in fact it was almost empty when I was there at 1:20pm on a Wednesday)

To summarize, it was okay food, a bit expensive for what you got.  (don't get me wrong, they piled the lobster HIGH, but I'd rather it be seasoned to perfection and get less), and their menu needs work.  I think I'll wait and see if they survive the curse of that retail space and then give them a second shot.

I work pretty close to BWF, and go there 3-4 times a month.  Usually on a Thursday at lunchtime.  They have a deal, Unlimited Wings, Fingers, Bites, and Fries + drink for $15.  

I sit at the far side of the bar and the bartenders have gotten to know me to the point where, a couple weeks ago, I sat down and there was my usual Sierra Mist waiting for me.  Wings are good, Fingers are Great!  They have a sauce of the month that seems to alternate between great and meh month to month.  But you should ask your waiter what the sauce of the month is.  It's often a more complex flavor, combining other sauces or introducing a new flavor to an existing sauce.  

One story of note was they had a new waitress and somehow she didn't put my order in correctly and I didn't get my food for a while.  (I usually have my food in front of me within 5 minutes of ordering)  I was reading and didn't notice for 20 minutes.  By the time I realized what had happened, I had to head back to the office.  I told the waitress to have my order boxed up.  The manager heard about what happened and comped my meal on the spot, got me a fresh drink in a to-go cup and put together everything very neatly in a bag.  As I said before, I've been going to BTF for a year and a half 3-4 times a month.  This was the first mistake they've ever made with my order and they took care of it immediately.  I certainly couldn't ask for more.

Best breakfast place I've every been too!  Wait staff was fantastic, the food was incredible, and the decor is a whimsical country chic that is just fun to look at.

The baked oatmeal (with blueberries on the day we were there) changed my mind about oatmeal forever.  That was incredible!  The Peasant Omelet was amazing, had hashbrowns (actually julienned potatoes in this case), onions, and bacon.  They claim it's a three egg omelet.... uh huh.... it's more like a 5 egg omelet!  I ate till I could barely breathe and I was only a third of the way through it when I called it quits.  

I got an oreo muffin to go, sounds odd, but it tasted great!  Put it this way, next time I'm up in Hershey, I'm booking a room at the Howard Johnsons just because it's right next to the Hershey Pantry.

I very nearly cried when I saw that this place closed.  If the economy picks back up I home they will come back!

No one has as much photography STUFF as these guys.  The owner and all of his employees' are truly passionate about photography and know their gear better than anybody.   They also carry just about everything in their store, from the basic consumer class cameras and lenses all the way up to the largest and highest grade pro gear!   They are even Pro Leica Dealers!  As an independent store, they are tough but fair about returns.  Basically as it was explained to me, there are no returns on any electronics unless they are defective within the first two weeks, in that case they will exchange it in-store.  Otherwise it will have to go to the manufacturer for repair or replacement.  This is also the premier place to go for camera bags... there are more bags in this store than in the rest of the camera stores in the area... combined.  They have a WHOLE second showroom just for bags.  They also offer classes taught by area photographic instructors (including a 4 day intense Photoshop class)  It's a giant candy store for photographers!  They also offer a wide variety of printing services, most notably they have a really big lab printer than can do Kodak Metallic paper... which has to be seen to be believed!   They have a graphic arts professional on-site Monday, Wednesday, and Friday who can do miracles on Photoshop and understands color management really well.  One of their employees is a walking Leica database, and each of their other employees have their own gifts and knowledge to share.  It's truly a unique store and a frequent stop on my way home from work.
