The only reason we ended up here is because we bought a Living Social coupon, you know, like Groupon, but not as catchy.

I'm going to leave out my opinions and try to be very objective here.

Food quality:  low.  They tout brick ovens, but I didn't see it or taste it.  The cheese was low quality, salty mozzarella - not fresh at all.  The toppings weren't pre-cooked (veggies) and the oven wasn't hot enough to give them a cooked taste either.  The tomatoes on top were pale looking and sad, the olives out of a can.

Experience:  low.  The groupon was for "dine" in.  I don't call paper plates dining.

Price:  Average to high compared to the quality of food/experience.

Now, my real opinion:  This is just another American-Italian style delivery places.

Don't be a sucker going to awful cupcake places.  Go to a real bakery that actually uses butter.  Go to Let Them Eat Cake and enjoy. You're welcome.

My attitude towards my new home improved slightly today.  This place actually had solid breakfast - fresh spinach Benedict with goat cheese and a nice strong coffee.  Job well done.
Oh, and our server was as pleasant as our meal.  Thank you.

I was looking for a high quality and fairly priced place to get my hair cut.  My wife recently went here and Pamela, the owner, cut and styled her hair - she came home looking great!
I decided to give it a shot and was very pleased.  It feels very much like salons I was used to back in Chicago - great service, atmosphere, style and experience.  The fact they are an Aveda shop is just a bonus on top.  Plus, it's in beautiful San Marco so you can't go wrong.  Try Salon on the Square and you'll be happy.

A sign on the front door reads something like the following paraphrase "Only well behaved children allowed using indoor voices."  Hmm.  That could be rewritten as "families not welcome" or "breeders go home".  Talk about offensive.  This is on the door - no kidding.

Not quite my cup of tea.  I guess we can always hope their slumlord releases their lease and they turn into a Starbucks.

Overrated swill.  The salads are way to expensive to not even have a little piece of protein, the sandwiches are OK-I-Guess (save the chicken salad which is pretty good) and the pizzas have way to much cornmeal littered over their spongy, paltry crusts.
This is a good place to go for those who like to throw money away - though, i would suggest walking a little further to the Chicago River and throw your cash in there.  At least it will be more fun to watch it float down into the sewage river and let the current take away.

They refer to them selves as street food.  Darn straight.  If you eat at any Mediterranean joint in the loop besides Benjyehuda you're a sucker.  This place is good.  Try the flight:  3 mini pitas with chicken shawarma, steak shawarma, and falafel respectively.  Comes with fries. Even their fries are killer! Less than 8 bones so no complaining for lunch in the loop.

Do no miss it.  Plus, the space is cool and the staff and ownership friendly.

I've lived near this place for over 4 years and have frequented it many times.  I don't know why.  Convenience?
The baked goods are just OK.
The bagels, even though included in their name, are just OK.
The sandwiches stink.
Their espresso stinks.  Their cappuccinos are even worse.
Their coffee is blended stronger than average which some will appreciate.
And their service - well, a bunch of indie hipster fall-outs who apparently love their weekly commuter crowd and shun anyone who they can't remember perfectly in their marijuana hazed artsy-fartsy minds.
Go if you want.  I don't care.  Neither will they.

My wife says "Sir, this steak is well done.  I ordered it medium.  Can you please bring out another."  Waiter says "That is medium.  What? Do you want it medium rare?"
Wife: confused.
Waiter: Accuses of being defensive.

Yeah, Lincoln Parkers - enjoy yourselves.
