Potato tacos, chicken tacos, tortilla soup... all good, but not exceptional and nothing I haven't had before. The shredded chicken burrito contained nothing except shredded chicken and a tortilla. No lettuce, no sour cream; just plain jane shredded chicken. I guess I just wasn't expecting that.
Since I can literally long-jump to this place from my front door, I'll probably still be a repeat customer. And maybe eventually, I can feel the same love towards it that eveyone else does.

I've heard so much about the breakfast and brunch that I didn't expect much during dinner - boy was I wrong. I came here with my father after he helped me move into my new apartment right down the block (Hi, University Heights!) and we just had a great meal.
There was a decent wait to order once we were first seated, but the manager came over and apologized, and took care of our app and wine. My father was impressed with the food, I was grateful for the service, and it ended up being a great experience - the best way to end a hectic day of moving. We split pork dumplings as a appetizer, which were recommended by our server. I'm not a huge fan of pork, but these were truly delicious and served with an interesting plum soy sauce. For entrees, we split the "Famous Meatloaf" and the Penne Pasta with Smoked Chicken. Not only were they both incredible dishes (the meatloaf is served with a sun-dried tomato gravy, which I'd like to pour over everything I eat for the rest of my life), the kitchen split our plates and provided each of us a large plate with each entree halved, beautifully presented. This was just a really nice touch, and appreciated on our end.
I feel pretty lucky to be living right down the street from this restaurant. Though it will probably be a different vibe, I can't wait to visit again for breakfast. Cheers to my first great experience in a new neighborhood.
Also, there's a cafe IN the store that pours some great draft beers, offers a menu of apps and sandwiches, and serves mimosas and bloody marys on the weekends. They even have wine tasting out on the patio on Fridays and Saturdays.
Just a really cool place- worth the drive out from the beach towns to pick up your beer or wine for the week.
Surprisingly, we had a great experience here for three days. Not only was our room impeccably clean (on entrance, and every morning after housekeeping visited), it was furnished with a fireplace, a big jacuzzi tub, and beautiful paintings. The bed was very comfortable, the whole room smelled fresh, and the hotel and surrounding area was quiet. We had a balcony that overlooked the courtyard with a small table and chair set. The service was great, and an employee provided us with alternate bike paths for our longer bike trips on less congested roads. They also provided free tasting vouchers for some of the local wineries. We took advantage of the continental breakfast every morning, which was decent considering the size of the hotel. Bonus points for 12pm checkout, and the fact that downtown Healdsburg is only a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute bike ride.
We loved this place so much that we called it home for three days, and we plan on staying here again during our next visit to Healdsburg. Compared to other hotels in the area where you'll pay double or triple the cost, it's worth it to check out.

Abso-fcking-lutely nothing.
Good lord. I HARDLY believe that this place even exists.
As someone who always orders dessert with their meals, and who feels that eating at least one piece of chocolate every day is what keeps me so happy... I think I've found heaven.

Welcome to the Shout House.
Yes, you have to pay a cover, but you can also request almost any song under the sun, and these guys will play it. At one point, I met up with some of my guy friends who were in from NY, and they had the piano men announcing scores of Jets games from 15 years ago. Obnoxious? Yes. But it goes to show that you can hear anything your heart desires proclaimed over a microphone.
It's even a great place to bring friends from out of town when they *insist* on going out in the Gaslamp, even after you've explained that it's really not that cool.

The weekend crowd weirds me out. I like the general vibe of OB; I don't want to dress up to go to a bar. But on Fridays and Saturdays, I feel more out of place here in my jeans and hoodie. Weekdays though, it's still mellow with beachgoers and slackers who duck out of work early to make the extremely limited 5-6 happy hour. For half price pitchers, it's worth it. Four pool tables, greasy but totally satisfying mexican food, an upstairs patio that overlooks the beach, and an ever changing stand-alone game (Big Buck Hunter, the sandbag toss game, etc) makes this bar a pretty good time. Just be sure to avoid it on the weekend nights... I'm not even sure where this crowd comes from.
I won't do it, but I feel like I should deduct one star for being the only bar in my ENTIRE LIFE that has denied me entry for being too intoxicated. Good lord, they let in the bum who was just peeing on the tree out front, and all I did was fall off my bike by the door. Give me a break.

Look, they have a small outdoor patio and what I found to be decent bar food. The burgers are pretty good, the volcano sauce for the chicken fingers is actually hot, and the fries aren't greasy. CBC does brew some good beer; unfortunately, the Idiot IPA has not been on draft any time I visited. It's not like you're visiting a five star establishment; it's a small, local brewery with some good beer and lunch food.
The service is slower on the patio but much quicker inside, and at the bar. Yes, they have a three drink max per person, but so what? You're in Coronado; grab some beers here then go drink somewhere else. No big deal.
