My Last Meal On EarthFried chicken from Ad Hoc..mmmm
They put a lot into their presentation. My hot chocolate was served in a very cute coffee mug. It came with a spoon which I though was odd until I tried to take a sip of it. Both their hot chocolate and mocha's are the consistency of warm pudding. Very rich and thick. Not what I expected at all. It was also minus whip cream.
I am giving it three stars because I wasn't impressed with my beverage. I just wanted a hot chocolate on a cold day. Not a warm pudding. However, the service was great, decor above average, and great atmosphere!
It's hard to go to Mexican food with my husband since he is allergic to cilantro. Normally he'll ask for hot sauce to eat with his chips. This time he was lucky as they had a great cabbage style salsa without cilantro. He really enjoyed it. Perfect with the warm chips.
I had the beef fajitas and my husband had the enchilada dinner. I figure you can never go wrong with fajitas plus I really like the mixture of the bell pepper, onion, and steak. It came with a generous helping of sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole. The rice was fluffy with great flavor. My husband said he's had better enchilada's but they were still good. His also came with rice and beans.
The service was fast and friendly. Great, since we had our 8 month old baby with us. They even brought her some plane avocado for our baby on my request. Overall great experience with above average food.
We've had Sibby's for a few events now. We have had the sampler box which includes several different flavors. My favorites are the carrot, tea cake, chocolate, vanilla, and coffee.
Sibby's has a great website that shows all their cute designs as well. Someone gave us a baby shower and had ordered cupcakes from Sibby's. They were as adorable as they were delicious!
Sibby's also delivers their cupcakes around the bay. Great for any event!

Service aside, the lunches are really good. I usually get the 50/50 soup and salad combo. Their potato bacon chowder is the best. I usually get the caesar salad as well. What makes lunch here so great is the small slice of cake they serve with every order. So far I have tried the carrot cake, chocolate mocha cake, rum cake, and plain chocolate. Never been disappointed.
I also just picked up a cake for a birthday and it was perfect. They have a great selection to choose from and you don't have to order ahead of time. They will even write on the cake for you.
I will go back knowing that I'm not going there for he service but the food and deserts. Too bad the owners don't do something about the service.

My husband and I planned our dinner reservations around the famous "fried chicken" night. Apparently we were there the same night as Aaron T. He pretty much summed it up for us. We couldn't have been happier with the menu. Everything was served "family" style with unlimited portions. The wait staff was friendly and the decor is light and airy. It's simple just like the menu.
We started off with a nice crisp "summer salad" with a champagne vinaigrette. We actually ate the entire salad. It was light, refreshing, and simple. A great start to what was ahead. When they brought out the next course, the fried chicken, my mouth started to
water. It was exactly what I had hoped for. It was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I don't typically eat dark meat but I devoured it as well as the white meat. I was a little skeptical when they served "lemon" infused mashed potatoes with peas, but I was far from disappointed. The mashed potatoes were perfect with just the right amount of lemon.
Next, they brought out a cheese plate. It was two different types of cheese, walnuts, and an amazingly flavorful honey. I normally don't eat cheese, but had to try it for the experience. I was willing to try anything they brought out; it was too good not to eat.
Even though we were there for the fried chicken, I wasn't the least bit disappointed in the dessert selection. The dessert that night was a homemade ice cream sandwich. It was two chocolate chip cookies held together by rich vanilla ice cream. I couldn't even hold it without getting bits of chocolate all over my fingers! I wanted so much to eat the entire cookie, but I was too full. My husband, on the other hand, managed just fine.
I would go back to Ad Hoc in a second. It would be fun to go there with friends. If you have the opportunity to go, I would highly recommend the fried chicken night, if you can find out ahead of time when it is that week.

These sandwiches are amazing. They are piled high with meat, cheese, and all the other fixings you enjoy. They have so much to choose from. We typically get the smoked turkey or ham. Yesterday we changed things up and I got the pastrami. The sandwiches are huge. You could easily share with someone. You can get any sandwich "old fashion" style for 6.99. This includes meat, swiss cheese, their special spread and pickles. For "the works" they add lettuce, onion, and pepperoncini's. Everything seams very fresh and made to order. If you are in a rush they do have pre-made sandwiches to go.
In addition to sandwiches they also have a wide variety of soda, juices, and water. They also keep a healthy stock of chips and candy at a reasonable price. They will also put together nice gift baskets with their gourmet sauces and spreads.
If you go during the week try to avoid going from 11:30-12:30. The high school kids have their lunch break and are just across the street. Parking is plentiful but the lines are long during this time.
Overall, great little deli!

Sprinkles Cupcakes

Overall the cupcakes were good. They were moist and decorated perfectly. If you don't like a lot of frosting these cupcakes are not for you. We had the Red Velvet and the Vanilla Chocolate. There were both great. I really liked the cream cheese frosting on the Red Velvet cake. The chocolate was also good, just a little too much of it.
I don't like paying 3.25 for a cupcake, however I will go back to try the chocolate marshmallow (which I hear is like a Hostest Cupcake.) ;o)
The store itself has just about everything we have needed. We have purchased almost all of our nursery items here. There were a few times when we have had to return large items and haven't had any problems at all. In fact, we exchanged an item and they still gave us a discount on the new item we purchased. I really don't expect this kind of service from a chain store but they have really been helpful.
Another big plus is their "mothers" room. They have a rest area away from the bathroom just for nursing mothers. There is also a changing table to use. It's a nice area away from the noise and traffic of the store. My husband just wishes they had a better area for men. However, the men's room does have a wall mounted changing table.
My only complaint is the lines at the check out. Sometimes they can be long and they don't open another register until it's too late.
Overall, the staff is friendly and efficient. The store is clean, neat, and easy to find the things you need. There is ample parking and the store is easy to get in and out of. Even though it's a large chain store, you still get the same great service as small local shops.

I have had the Parisian sandwich, pepper-steak sandwich, and the french onion soup. This is the perfect place for a cold day and a quick bite. You can also get a tasty treat to go if you like. They have french macaroons, creme brule, cheesecakes, and pastries. I have picked up a chocolate chip cookie as I'm on my way out as well.
Overall this place is fast, friendly with good food and service!
