My car's name is Buster and he's a 7series born in the 90s.
He's been mine forever (our family car since high school) and has been to over a dozen service stations since I adopted him. He likes Palo Alto Beemer or is it Bemmer or Bimmer...?! I don't know spellings, but I do know they do great work.
Fixing BMWs is competitive out here in CA. Buster's first port in America was Naperville IL (near Chicago). Thanks Bill Jacobs. Dealerships are good for warranty work but when its my nickel, I say go to "Mike" the service writer.
I've never objected to their opinion about what is defective and I have never been overcharged. I get the feeling that they value their customers long term. Other shops I've been to, (Buster's old caretakers) pretty much had a "minimum" that I'd get charged.
"when the engine light goes off, it pretty much means about a grand," said Larry Chiang.
Well at P.A. Beemer, it might be a whole lot less.
** Update **
thx yelpers and Google.

Its good for events because its got the inside/outside overflow. The service is amazing. The menu has changed a bit but I think for the better. I rotate between the gorgonzola burger to the pizza with truffle oil to the array of salads. Good stuff

This delightful weekend long ago that I still nostalgisize about. Yes, I found it on Yelp because of these Yelpers who helped me find it: I am cutting and pasting their reviews
@JoshuaL: "The room (Moonlight) was awesome, with a large claw-foot tub. The hot tub was always empty"
@ Shoshana D.: my honey napping in our little slice of heaven
@Lisa Mila and Stan were wonderful!
I am only going to add: the breakfast was really, really good.
In a way I wanna NOT tell people about it so I can have more access to this place.

The best deal there is for Saturday am brunch. It is UNDER $20.
There is no better way to communicate, "Yeah we hooked up and I still wanna hang out" than a point blank date request for Sat am brunch.
My "date" was a dude. Not just any dude. It was the Four Seasons chef, Brian Beneke. I was a squeaky wheel and he made the Eggs Benedict with the six sauces.
If you're not staying there, I recommend wearing your swim trunks underneath your stuff. After you over-enjoy the brunch, you swim and wallah, your pants go back to fitting cuz you swam (and couldn't eat as much with your bulky swim suit on :-) -

Sold out for ACL Weekend.
They have a waitlist and what's cool is that they're not charging extra while Austin City Limits is going on
NOTE: the concierge will be coordinating VIPs staying on premises and can be influenced with an Andrew Jackson if you're hankering for an intro. Jk, they're only taking care of me so PM me via yelp (or sms me at six five O 283 eight thousand eight) and I'll angle you in

If you can't beat 'em, charge 'em. Re: Californians visiting.
Mathematically, March comes around every year and every friend of mine from CA visits. Every one.
Buy and sell hotel rooms for fun and profit from the people making our city's real estate so effen expensive.

They have three basketballs so I am updating my review. Btw, I've been a member since '99

There is one good basketball. I mean literally this is just ONE decent basketball.
Every other basketball is warped. Being entrepreneurial, I see this as an opportunity to make money off the other members that are also paying $120
here's my idea...
stage one (bootstrap): I rent a locker. $3-9/month
stage two (angel round): I buy three balls and start my Ball Rental Business
stage three (vc): I get a credit card reader and automate rentals
stage FOUR (the Death stage: more dilution and I get fired): I expand to other clubs that don't have basketballs AND are premium clubs.
I smell about $30-40/per month per ball in revenue from charging a buck9 per session. I am going to sell this business for HUNDREDS of dollars.
Am so going to this over TG

My Yelps now "read and regurgitate" other people's work, so here goes
@ML I agree with your thoughts on the salmon bowl. But the benefit is the bar, open seating and multitudes of TVs. I pre-eat here when I do a tweener meal of veggies. The fruit plate is really good too.
@wilhelm Beers is good here. Coffee is good here. There is also a secret meeting room tucked all the way in the back if you're doing a pow-wow away from the adjoining Four Seasons.
@emma I agree with the fact that working out more causes you to eat more.
The food is concocted to be healthy, but they have the ability to fry it or add a ton of butter.
The best use of this space is to use it as a city oasis that feels very family room-ish. You can nurse a beer, smuggle in a coffee bean and do a breakfast meetings back-to-back-to-back.
Remember, I am a fan of the space, the location, the water dispenser and easy access to steam room at SCLA. Hope this Yelp review helps you.
