Most Recent Discoveryi REALLY DO KNOW ABOUT ALL THE DESSERTS BEFORE THEY COME OUT... DAMNIT
Here's the good: It's lovely inside. The Angry lion king was yummy, the tempura calamari was good and the crown spicy tuna is ono. Oh and the food is served on the little dishes and bamboo dishes, our was shaped like a cute fish. So many bright photos and descriptions of the rolls it's awesome and the prices are right. And the menuboard has many options too. The food didn't take long to come out. Oh and Nancy liked her Bonito roll. We both like the front window seats.
But here's the bad: The angry lion king had a lil too much mayo and it completely fell apart. SOOO Disappointing... yes that was a capital D. And the tables were yucky. AND they called out your order instead of bringing it to your table. They call it out.. without a speakerphone. And they do have a marquee thing "Now serving" but it wasn't being used. *sigh*.
I strongly suggest they start bringing the rolls to your table and use the triangle number things that most pizza places use. And find a way to keep the Angry Lion King from falling apart.. because it was yummy but hard to share.
Oh trust I'll be back!!
Came back. Katsu = PASS, as in I'll pass on ever ordering it again. the sauce was not my kind and the chicken was dry :(
Lion Prince = nice but falls apart
Takeout = A++ ^_^

I will have to be going here when they open since I live right down the street!! I'm excited!
But I did outfit myself in a white skirt, a black skirt, a white long hooded thick cape ($10), gloves, a few scarves and table runners, a black vest and two mens shirts, one was Van Heusen... oh and earrings and bracelets!! I also grabbed a few scarves for my mom.
Total Damage - $50
End result? http://www.yelp.com/bi...
I definetly love this place for their discounts and furniture and Annex area.. and .. and.. and.. lol. Give Thrift a try ^_^

The very first East Bay Elite Event as well as first floating event!! I had a fantastic time and was glad it was a random Tuesday, as Tuesdays arent as random as you'd think /wink. Dressing up and piratespeak as well as helping out on the ship were my favorite parts of the night, well ok, along the same level as the Pirates booty and Drakes grog. I am thankful to have an organizer as Ligaya because she is awesomeness. Thank you!!
For those that didn't go there is still time. Check out their website as they will be here for about a week I believe.
P.S. Ligaya let me know before you start that Bart ride event. Lol ^_^

While the lady set up the room another made me sit and write my name and number on a paper and she typed on the computer and asked if just the eyebrow I want and then wrote "eye brown" next to my info.. huh haha. I thought it was cute. And no my eyes aren't brown, they're hazel =P
Anyhow the building is HUGE inside and I walk past the hair area.. past the mani, past the pedi.. and down the hall , i can see more but we duck into a room where i lay down and there is soothing music *sigh* a peaceful 10 minutes of my day I wouldn't have traded. She didn't speak about it if she analyzed the shape of my brows, they're thick inside and THIN outside and the middle of the left one is kinda.. sparsely covered. But she went for it and showed me, I liked so she repeated and tweezed =] She offered to color in the brows and I said Nope because I don't do it at home. Plus I always wipe my brows.. but she did tell me I was dry and need to use moisturizer and sunblock haha. okok I'll do it.. tomorrow.
And the brochure says $20 for eyebrow shaping and $15 for touchups. She charged me $15 and I tipped $5. Yeah, I tip like that, so. I'll probably be back at some point. I'm just thankful for those 10 minutes.. and I probably wont get a mani or pedi or hair... ok, nothing but my EYEBROWNS =]
98 Mustang insurance in 2008 $39+
I found Mercury Car Insurance through http://AIS.com about 4 months ago and I completely went with them!! Seriously. How could I pass up an offer of about $40 a month?? Would you? NO!!
Sadly I don't remember if I'm just using the CA minimum but I probably am but at the same time I can't drive my car w/o insurance because now the information is sent to the DMV :( So no ridin' dirty for me.
My only problem is that I don't get a statement in the mail saying "Your payment of $79 for the next two months is due on XX, 2009" But once it's past the date I get a statement in the mail saying your account is past due and will be terminated on XX, 2009 if we do not receive $84 by XX, 2009." Um.. how about a head's up?? something? rudeness. I keep getting charged $5 for late payments.. which is nothign compared to how much I used to pay,but at the same time it's an inconvenience and could be avoided if they'd be a little more helpful.
But other than that $5 slap in the face every month I'm not complaining. I make my payments online and save a stamp.
I was aware that the Saturday FREE Cpr and disaster awareness class would have limited space and fill up fast and that there were multiple locations so I shared with YELP.Com and made it an event (http://www.yelp.com/ev...). 17 people were "in" and 26 said it "sounded cool".
So after a four hour session and testing we were all trained and given certification cards recognizing that we could now perform CPR.
I liked that the main speaker kept the air light and joked often because laughter is one of my favorite things. Also who wants to be up at 9am for 4 hours with strangers and being serious? Not me. So I made my mom and dad, and sister and her friend, and my bff Nancy R. come. Nancy brought her mom and cousin!! Yay us!!
And if you didn't pass the test you could talk to someone and basically they wanted to help you so that you DO know if there is an emergency where your skills are needed, exactly what you should do.
So, if anyone needs they can borrow my skills.. they're not nun-chuck skills or dancin moves but I can tickle ur belly button and then give you the heimlich.
I also appreciated that the Red Cross staff gave us the numbers to call from our cellphone for the Vallejo, Fairfield and other city emergency departments because if you call 911 from your cell phone you will reach CHP... I hope everyone else who attended had a good time!
I wanted sushi, have been for months now, and I just got paid hehe so I looked at the reviews on here and this place sounded small but promising.
It's under the stairs and there isn't much room to wait anywhere but I think the E Komo Mai chalkboard where you write your name on was really cute and there's a little tucked away area with a couple tables.
We waited.. 30 minutes?? But we didn't complain. When we were seated I kinda had an idea of what I wanted from my previous encounters with sushi as well as the reviews so I ordered the Pink Lady and Lion King roll and the Nachos. They ordered an appetizer and 3 more roll choices and for dessert I had the mango mochi.
The Pink Lady was delicious!
The Lion King was yummy but just a tiny bit too much mayo.
The Nachos... You guys should have told me they would be cold. NOT good and I will NEVER order again :( Just not my thing. I think my sister liked them though.. ewww.
Mango Mochi.. soooo yummy but didn't get rid of the nacho taste :(
So all in all 6 rolls, 1 appetizer, 1 tea and 1 dessert came to about $70. I am very happy.. except those darn Nachos.
Also I do think it's strange that the cold items were served last. I would have much prefered that they were served first, except the ice cream. I would definetly go again but probably not a friday or saturday night!
Well, there was my birthday.. but this was awesome!! I came through with my parents (Bee and Tiny) and my big sister Theresia and her friend Karla.
The staff were shining friendly people and all I saw was smiles everywhere. Ok I did drink quite a bit of green beer (yummy) and apricot and honey (kinda heavy) but I still remember everything. The bartenders were sweet, Nick and Matt, and the servers kept us happy and full: Zenda, Thomas, Dustin... and I feel like I'm missing someone :(
Again. The Reubens were yummy and I did take a glimpse of the menu and I'll have to come back to try the Calamari and maybe a salad.. and a beer.. or two hehe.
Thanks Ligaya!!
OH and one more thing. My name last night was BriS. hehe If you don't know what that is and why I'm lol-ing then pls google it =P
Yay for Yelp!!
