The price is a bit high ($27-29 for entrees) but balanced by the fact that it's BYOB and the food is well worth every penny.
The hand-written and butcher paper menus add charm, while the friendly and talkative waitstaff makes dinner more enjoyable.
The only drawback is that because the restaurant is so small, the space can get a little smoky and steamy when the kitchen really gets going and bathroom is nothing short of underwhelming.

Jean's Nails

After a so-so rushed mani/pedi at Rittenhouse Nails, I was worried I'd have the same treatment walking in 30" before closing. Instead the ladies stayed open late and didn't even rush through my drying or (free!) shoulder massage.
Plus - for $29 - their spring 30% off special, you can't go wrong. And they even accept tip on credit card!!
Their "3 for 30" prix fixe on Sundays is a terrific bargain, and the apple cake dessert should not be missed.
The presentation and taste of everything was delicious -- absolutely rivals Matyson, and like a classed up Audrey Claire (we noticed little bits of Mediterranean throughout -- eggplant etc).
The artwork in the bathroom is beyond charming ("Recipe for Dinosaur Soup")
Service was a bit spotty, but that can easily be overlooked when the dinner bill for 4 comes and it's $135 all in.

Veritas Prep GMAT
Category: Education
Neighborhood: Financial District
In addition to great teachers, Veritas' online classes were really helpful - either for reviewing material you're fuzzy on or making up for a missed class. Plus, they give you access to so many practice GMAT tests (some of their own, plus others they license), so you'll really feel prepared by the time test day comes.
The class format of Veritas really sets it apart from other programs. For me, having the hands-on classroom time plus TONS of homework/practice problems was the necessary nudge I needed to make sure I was devoting adequate time to studying.
The books are well thought out and give you a lot of detail. I'd recommend supplementing it with the Official GMAT guide (in your final weeks of studying) to really help give you a sense of the official GMAT Qs.
