Chic, sexy, and upbeat ambiance. Excellent plates and their service is orchestrated tightly. Our server David was charming, knowledgeable, and so on it. It has a much warmer and more relaxed energy than most French restaurants.

Loved their tasting menu - nice on the pairings. Very deceptive on the outside and lovely on the inside - hidden gem. Food and presentation very good but I felt rushed - they seemed to have enough staff for a Saturday evening but most of the servers and busboys seemed stressed out which made it that less comfortable for me as a diner. I think that the staff can relax a bit and still be efficient without being so serious. I'd go back to give it another try though.

Little Star Pizza

Informed that Little Star was better than Zach's and Paxti's -- it's pretty darn good. I love thin crust pizza and they make it just right, pastry-stylie but with a little more umph! Their resto on Valencia and 15th looks urban undercover on the exterior and has a hint of fine dining or more of a 'grown up pizza joint' vibe on the inside without fine dining prices - yay! Happy hour beer and cocktails, nummy salads, and more...cute diners!

Clyde Common reminds me of Beretta in SF, communal tables, good food, Stumptown coffee, full-on bar with a good selection of beers too. Next to the ACE Hotel where all the hottie hipsters and musicians stay. My fav place to dine in Portland!

In a 'Marina-esque' nabe, reminds me of Union Street. Friendly staff, good sized resto, going for a sexy ambiance, decent drinks but not impressed with the food.

Beautiful beans...big fan of the Sidamo for my old school stovetop Bialetti. Nice, slow brew. Heat up some Strauss milk 2% (I used to use whole but still decadent with the cream top) with 3 teaspoons of organic raw sugar, two shots and you've got a bomb latte every morning. Ahhh, what a lovely ritual...

Awesome neighborhood market. Super helpful and knowlegeable staff. Everything is done to the 'T' - love how beautifully my deli meat is cut and layered with with wax paper so you don't get upset that it's sticking if you don't eat it all right away. Good selection of wines, this is where I discovered the Sinskey Vin Gris - more please! They have an in-house butcher shop, grow a good portion of their own organic veggies (perhaps biodynamic??). Yippeeeeeeeeeee!
