Overall the service is friendly, prices are good, and bubble tea tasty, but the song selection isn't up to par yet. The owner? manager? Not sure who I talked to, but he told me they are working on improving the English selection. However, great variety of Chinese songs, both mandarin and cantonese popular songs and oldies with real music videos for most of the songs.
I recommend it and will definitely up the stars once they improve the song selection.
We all came in at different times, but they seated us anyway. Not sure, but that could have been the reason they avoided our table for quite some time, but once we ordered the food came out almost immediately. Piping hot and fresh.
To start we had an oyster pancake and radish & egg pancake. Radish one is quite boring, but the oyster one is very good. Lots of oyster and the sweet sauce--really good. (my friend who wanted the radish one had his own tabasco in his pocket, go figure). We also tried the TW hamburger which is a steamed bread with pork, mustard greens, cilantro, and peanut powder. It was a bit too greasy and difficult to eat. Not a fan.
Fried squid strips and squid ball were both hot and not greasy. Good.
I also had a taste of someone's wonton soup, which had a very clean veggie tasting broth and good pork wonton inside.
For main dishes we had TW lamb, which didn't even taste like lamb really. They drenched it in sa cha (TW bbq sauce). It was tender and sliced very thin. It was ok.
We had to try one of the most typical TW dishes, 3 cup chicken, and theirs was just missing something. Not enough basil, garlic, pepper, or ginger. It basically tasted like soy sauce and rice wine chicken. Not impressed.
For dessert we had the shaved ice with ai yu jelly, green bean, and lychee. It was good, surprisingly the only thing that took a few minutes to come out.
Like everyone has already mentioned, all of the prices are very reasonable. Our bill was less than $100 for 8 people, we were all stuffed, had dessert, plus leftovers for a whole other family of four.
Overall it's ok, makes me happy that I am not missing out on anything in Dallas. Ha!

I order the negimaki (thin slice of beef wrapped around scallion) and my friend got yaki soba. The negimaki came out on one of those sizzling plates, which really didn't add anything to the dish. It had a lot of veggies (carrot, onion, broccoli) which was nice, but the meat just didn't taste too good. Kinda overcooked.
This place is pretty pricey. Sorry to say it, but a lot of the dishes do seem kind of instant or pre-made, so it seems too high for what you get.
The atmosphere is dated, but cute and the waitstaff is hit or miss.
I honestly didn't trust them, but said what the heck.
My colleague and I are trying to eat better, so we split the salmon and ordered broccoli instead of mashed potatoes. But as soon as I saw those popovers in the bread basket, I had to eat one! Glistening in the light with butter, so hot, chewy and just plain good. Definitely worth it! haha
Overall The meal was pretty good. Salmon was nice, all food was properly seasoned. The boss just had sweet potato fries (picky eater) and those were good. Other colleague had a baked potato and seemed happy with it.
There was only one hiccup, my colleague had finished half a Guiness when he realized there was some kind of red syrup inside the glass. The waitress promptly brought a new one and it was no big deal. When we got our bill, the beer was not on there, and the manager came by to apologize. All in all a good dining experience, only bad thing was the parking lot is supersmallsqueezed.
Everyone ordered on there own (yall know I like to share), but the portions are small, so you really have to.
I was able to snag a piece of calamari that and it was good, not too chewy. For my meal I had the ravioli al funghi, which I ordered because I wanted to try their handmade pasta. The mushrooms inside almost tasted like pesto, I wasn't a fan of the texture, but the veggies on top were fresh.
A lot of the people at the dinner didn't know each other, and when my side finally was starting to have some good laughs, the waiter comes round to give us the dessert briefing. We go on talking and he gives us a stern teacher face and says, "I am talking about desserts!" Really?! Are you serious? Are you that impatient? Are you that rude? Even after that he still had to go around the entire table saying 'miss? what would you like?" ugh. The place was whatever. Maybe take your grandma.
My friends were late so I was at the table for 6 by myself, watching other patrons eating their food. (the place was packed on this Tues night) Half of them were dumping soy sauce and other sauces on everything...it didn't look too good.
First off the menu is too big with lots of ambiguous descriptions like "meat, bell peppers, and baby corn in a delicious sauce"...uhhh what sauce? What is the flavor? You'll never know until you order it :(
I was all ready to order pad thai, but fortunately my friend reminded me about how sickeningly sweet it was, so we just had garlic pork. Apparently it's "a favorite". It's basically just like broccoli beef from a Chinese restaurant. It tasted like straight up fish sauce and some cilantro.
My friends had a flat noodle dish, lahd na, and the noodles seemed too clumpy and sticky. The other friends had the classic yellow curry which was the best dish by far. Hint of spice, good sized portion, creamy & tasty.
This place is really just good for one thing, its look. The wait staff wear traditional clothing and are all very nice looking. The decor is clean and modern. The service is ok.

Went here on Single's Awareness Day with 2 friends. I had been to this restaurant with my mom and her friend 3 or 4 years ago and wasn't impressed.
So this is pretty much like a first visit for me. Anyway, it was pretty busy--well, the tables for 2 were pretty busy. We waited forever..omg, later I thought, they could have just given us a large table for 6 cuz the other patrons need the smaller tables, but whatever. I actually wasn't that hungry, so I only ordered the tom kha gai. It had a good flavor and good amount of chicken and veggies. One girl had the pad thai which was waaay too sweet. Yuck. The other girl had the jungle curry. The broth had a good flavor, but a little too salty and not spicy enough. I did think it was cute that they made her rice into a heart shape though.
I hadn't had coconut ice cream and sticky rice in a long time, so I tried theirs, it was different than what I was expecting, but really good. The rice is a little salty, which is a nice constrast to the sweet coconut ice cream. My friends shared the green tea ice cream which only made them want more. They use a good brand, it is not freezer burned or pale, plain flavor like many places. It has a good strong green tea taste. The service was eh. I couldn't believe how long it took to get our dessert and the check.
If someone else wants to go there, I would go, but I won't go out of my way.
