I went into buy a new bag, and the guy I talked to was really nice, and even went and searched around in the back for a tissue for me (it was cold, I had just biked down and had a runny nose). He also really helped me with my bag selection, because I was unsure of a few things, and he helped me narrow down which one was best for my needs. Very Knowledgeable, like Yoda.. only not tiny and old (and probably less badass).
They have an excellent selection, great service, and are really cool guys in general. I'd highly recommend going here to check stuff out.

Humorous story here as well. I was opening a cooler to grab a twelve pack of beer and a six pack of Twisted Teas perched precariously on the top shelf slipped and landed, shattering, a quarter of an inch from my foot. Probably would have hit me in the head too if I'm not quick like that. While this doesn't change my opinion of the store honestly, watch out when you are opening up their beer coolers.
Considering this and Gimbel's are the two closest places that sell beer to me, and Gimbel's is a bit overpriced, I definitely still shop at Chansky's... just don't buy anything but beer here.

That said, IYE is amazing. This location is my second favorite vinyl shop in the Boston area, beat out only by the other location. They have tons of vinyl, and the first time I went in I was very lost trying to find what I want because is seems very disorganized, but after spending a little time in the store I realized it's actually very organized, just oddly, so it was really easy to find stuff I was looking for (which they almost always seem to have) once I figured out their system. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and are just really cool guys over all. Being a hardcore audiophile I can spend hours in a vinyl shop, and IYE is one of the few that even after being in there for 2-3 hours I still find one more album I want to buy before leaving. Definitely the place to go for vinyl in Boston.
Date

Spence's is only open Tuesday and Friday morning, I believe so you have to be a morning person to get to go (which I am not sadly so I rarely make it over there).
Whether you are in the market for some cheap movies (assuredly bootlegged), costume jewelery, old tools you'll never use, or a "Made in Taiwan" sword... or the thousands of other things you can buy, Spence's is definitely a fun place to go...
