The Chuck Norris breakfast consists of 2 huge pancakes, turkey, pork and chorizo patty sausage on the side. These pancakes were the yummiest pancakes I have ever laid my tongue on!! They must sprinkle some cinnamon or something inside the batter, b/c it's got a certain taste to it. You can order the pancakes a la carte as well. They're just $2.25 each and one is plenty enough for me!
This morning when we went, we tried the chicken fried steak and eggs. The gravy they use for their chicken fried steak is an orangey goodness that words cannot describe. SO GOOD! And their hashbrowns are like no other either. They are made just PERFECT. Crunchy on the outside and warm goodness on the inside. Parts of it is so soft, it's almost like a mashed potato hasbrown. It's amazing. They also had toast and jelly with the dish... and I mean.. how can a restaurant make toast and jelly amazing?! Their jelly is liquid jelly that is put in a little dish for you to dip your toast in. To turn jelly into a liquid dip is ingenious.
Oh, and I heart their dishware....
So yesterday was Valentine's Day, and I went to Della Voce for dinner. They had a Valentine's Day special where they had a 3-course meal where you could choose what you wanted from the appetizer, main-course and desert section. For my appetizer I had the insalata spinaci (baby spinach, strawberries, toasted pine nuts, smoked gouda, champagne vinaigrette), which was very very tasty! It would have made for the most amazing salad had it been larger. But I have to admit, I stole a few bites off Mike's appetizer, which was carpaccio classico (thinly sliced beef tenderloin, lemon-caper emulsion, parmesano-reggiano shards) and THAT was truly amazing. It is the sushi of beef! It's raw.. so if you're a fan of sushi.. you will LOVE this!!
For my main course I had the filet mignon with mushrooms and switched out my creamed spinach for lobster mashed potatoes. I'm definitely a potatoe-addict. Anything with potatoes, I will eat and love. Combine that with something else I love, like, lobster!! It was really something special! It didn't have too much of a seafoody taste. It was creamy and just wonderful...
Mike had the duck breast with blackberry coulis, goat cheese risotto and asparagus, which was also amazing! It had the duck flavor, but it wasn't overdone. Somehow they managed to get the meat on the outside just slightly crisp, and that made it all the better.
We wrapped it up with some desert.. we got the ravioli de cioccolato and amaretto cheesecake. The cheesecake was superb of course. The ravioli de cioccolato was a really creative desert. It was like a cookie-shaped ravioli which had chocolate and peanut butter inside, drizzled with chocolate over it. Really interesting. I'm going to have to say that it wasn't my favorite, but I think if you are a big shortbread cookie person, this desert would be for you! But I'll stick with the cheesecake. ;)
Overall the food here was pretty amazing. I definitely want to come back on a night where I get the whole menu to choose from. I'm really excited to see what I'll find here next!
Sweet potato fries are a must have with the ribs...
It is more of a bar than it is a restaurant from the looks of it. But don't let looks decieve you. Their food is absolutely amazing!
They sell tons of KSU school gear of course, so this is where I venture out to when I want to get some more Wildcat spirit!
My only wish is that they would sell vet school apparel here too. ;)

We tried their pad thai and their pat see yoo and both were pretty decent. The waitress was very friendly and accomodating. We'll definitely go back when we're craving Thai food!
