Oh, tasty! Very tender vindaloo, and the chicken tiki masala was fantastic. I can't call myself an expert in Indian cuisine, but my un-skilled palate was quit satisfied.
Staff was efficient and friendly. I think I'll make this a regular lunch stop!

It's not easy to blend being a good bar, a sports bar, a live-band bar and a place for good food. But CK's manages to do it.
My last trip here was for a birthday party over the weekend. It was packed, as usual, but they had no trouble accommodating the dozen-plus of us that showed up. Our waiter was fast and remembered every order. I'm still puzzled how they do that.
The band was great. I've heard 3 - 4 bands here. They always seem to rock. Well done, whoever does the booking.
In fact, it was such a good time that we're going to have #evfn here on Friday night!

It's not often I'm in the mood for a steak. Having an ovo-icthy-lacto-vegetarian wife will do that for you. But even she found something to enjoy here.
I had the chili-rubbed steak and the side of southwestern scalloped potatoes. The steak was excellent, prepared as requested. Loads of flavor. Just the right amount of marbling. Oh, and it was huge. As in... huge. Did not leave hungry. And I don't think I had but a single slice of the bread beforehand.
My wife had the seared ahi appetizer and a baked potato. Yes, an odd combo to be sure. But she enjoyed it completely. Didn't even give me a bite.
The service was excellent, going so far as allowing my wife to sample a wine. It wasn't to her liking -- was mine, but I wasn't in the mood -- and our server didn't even bat an eye when she opted for a glass of iced tea.
A solid rating. I saw many other tasty items on the menu and look forward to my return!

Wait, they sell tea here?
Well yes, they do. And the Lapsang souchong was equisite. But I nearly forgot about it. Probably thanks to the seared scallops, jerk chicken lavosh and roasted red pepper hummus.
Yeah... at a tea shop. Interested?
You should be. This places is simply divine. A master chef, a staff that cares and drinks called "teatinis" that will make you question why *all* martinis aren't made this way.
A shining star in historic downtown Chandler. Not to be missed.

You know what makes for a fun night at an Irish sports pub? Getting 45+ of your friends to go with you. Hats off to RTO's for taking care of us with flying colors. Everyone had a great time.
I'm not going to dump on their beer choices. It's an Irish sports bar, and they have a wide selection of on-tap beers that fit that niche nicely. Sure, I'd love to see some kegs of various IPAs available, but I'm not complaining. Especially after 3 of the 22 ouncers. Hooray for a designated driver.
I had one of the burgers. I forget which one. Both times I've been here, I've asked the waitress what SHE eats. Each time, it's been a burger they've brought me. Damn fine burgers.
Great time!

You'd think it hard for a granola, earthy/crunchy place like this to provide a consistent experience across locations. But I've been to three in the Valley, and they've all be on par with another.
But this one is my "home town" PJ, so I'll review it. My wife is a veggie, so this has become a standard of ours. Plenty of grilled flesh for me and Firstborn, and lots of "no-mom" items for her.
Yes, it's busy. Yes, it's crowded. You'll have a hard time telling your wait staff from the patrons. But that's part of the atmosphere. The food has always been tasty. The service always fast enough. And the price isn't crazy.

Driving into the packed parking lot, I knew I was in for a treat. And even though the place was jam-packed AND had some private party going on, everything was great.
Being new, I asked the server -- and my dining companion -- for a recommendation. First impressions count! I received the calzone, which was as massive as advertised. Then again, all calzones are pretty massive. Now, it's hard to screw up a calzone. These guys don't go for fancy. Good bread, normal ingredients and sauce on the side. It was delicious.
My dining companion ordered something strange called "pizza muffins", I think. Very odd. Very tasty.
I ate half my calzone and took it to go. My kid ate it the next day and wants to know where I got it. But he took my leftovers. So until he pays his own way, I just may hold that information from him.

I had lunch here two days ago, having never stepped foot in a Turkish restaurant before in my life. I'm an adventurous diner. Per my standard, I skipped the menu and ask the very friendly waitress/hostess to make a recommendation.
She suggested the Iskender Donner, as it is their signature dish. I order the lunch portion and was quite pleased. Lots of great flavor. The sauces were excellent. Nothing at all to complain about. Even the turkish coffee she suggested was nice -- and I'm not much of a coffee drinker!
High marks. I'm really looking forward to returning some evening when the hookas are blazing.

Liberty Market is an icon of old town Gilbert. And I'm not one for iconography. Yet I still rate this place 5 stars. Go figure.
The word "exemplary" comes to mind. The dishes are simple, yet delicious. The staff is efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is homey and first-class.
Oh, and then there's Joe, the guy that runs the place. Joe acts as if you are a guest in his home. And he has this strange Gretzky-esque ability to sense where someone is about to have a question, materializing there just as the query comes to mind. It's kinda creepy. But in a good way.
Lunch or dinner. Small group or large. Go to Liberty Market. Often.

What an amazing bed and breakfast.
The rooms are immaculate. We stayed upstairs in the Carriage House. Very large. Very well adorned. Simply gorgeous.
When we awoke in the morning, we were taken aback by the lovely way the property is nestled into the surrounding countryside. The foliage was lush. The wildlife abundant. Truly a definition of serene.
Beth was a most gracious host, easily accommodating my wife's dietary restrictions and our early-morning departure. The main house was every bit as well-furnished as I would have expected.
The next time my travels take to this part of New Jersey, we'll stay here again. In fact, we'll make an extra day out of it just to explore The Wooden Duck!
