Don't Tell Anyone Else But...I'm in love with a fictional vampire.
Anyway, we ordered:
- BBQ Pork Skewers [for $8.25]... This only came w/ 3 skewers, good thing we only had 3 of us eating! Yummy flavor. A few fatty parts here and there, but that's a given.
- Pork Sisig [for $11.25].... Nice flavor, crispy bits, but didn't come w/ any minced jalapenos until we requested it from the manager.
- Chicken Skewers [for $10.25]... came w/ 4 skewers and white meat chunks. Tiny red bell peppers and onions were skewered onto the stick, almost makes you wonder why they even bothered with it. I thought the meat was a bit on the dry side.
-1 Calamansi Juice [for $2]... my friend Susie ordered this. She said it was good, but a bit too sweet or heavy on the sugar.
- 2 Halo-Halo's [$5 each]... Five bucks, are u kidding me? We ordered it to-go and requested NO caramel custard topping, described as leche flan. The manager also took this order for us, and she seemed offended that we opted out of the custard. Sorry, we only wanted ice cream and since we're paying FIVE BUCKS for it, we make the rules! Haha.
All in all, it was about $20 per person after tax and tip. Would we come again? Hmm, for the prices and portions, nothing stood out enough to want to rush back... plus there's so many other Filipino places I still want to try out!!!
I only came here because my battery died on me and I was hoping to get someone to install it for me after purchasing it. But after enduring that wait I changed my mind. Luckily my BF knew how but I felt bad for making him do it. If I had known how this would turn out, I'd have gone elsewhere to purchase a battery. Ridiculous!

I hated the customer service here. I walked in, not quite sure what to do, whether or not I had to take a number or what. No one was there to ask if I needed any help. There was someone at the cash register ringing someone up, and he could've at least said something like, "I'll be right with you" but he didn't.
You're pretty much on your own here if you ever need anything.

Not so good: Cafe Latte, Mint Cream, Whimsical Tart
Unlimited toppings make me go overboard. Favorite toppings so far are the mochi balls, chocolate chips, crushed Butterfinger, cheesecake bites, mini caramel cups. I also like the granola and slivered almonds for a nice crunch. They have a stamp card also. My sister lives 5 mins away so I'll probably visit again soon.
[Papaya Salad $7.95] 4/5 stars
This was OK... I liked it. It had a nice kick to it.
[Seafood Spicy Sour Soup $18.95] 2/5 stars
The menu states it has crab claws, scallops, bass fillets, calamari, prawns, and mussels. I didn't see any scallops or crab in this dish at all.The calamari and bass fillets were overcooked and tough/chewy.
[Yellow Chicken Curry $9.95] 2/5 stars
Big chunks of DRY chicken. Broth flavor was OK.
[House Special Fried Rice $10.95] 3.5/5 stars
This is their pineapple fried rice. It came out in a good sized portion.
[Phuket Fried Rice w/ choice of meat $8.95] 3/5 stars
Fried rice with egg and pork. Just average fried rice.
[Pad Thai $9.95] 2/5 stars
It had a strange flavor to it, we couldn't put our finger on it. But it didn't taste like the usual pad thai we're used to. Edible, yet strange.
[Sweet Sticky Rice w/ Mango $5.95] 5/5 stars
Just like any other Thai place. Sweet and delicious.
They also brought out a special birthday dessert on-the-house, Fried Banana w/ ice cream. They turned off the lights and brought it out w/ candles for my BF to blow after we all sang Happy Birthday which was a nice touch. The dessert was HUGE too, they really hooked us up, giving us enough so each of us could have our own fried banana & ice cream (and there was 11 of us). 5 stars for that gesture.
Overall, the service was good, but then again there was only 2 other tables occupied when we were there. The food was just average and might do for a quick fix, but we'll keep searching for our go-to Thai place.
I had a combination pizza with whole roasted garlic cloves on it. You really do have to fold the pizza in half in order to eat it. I think overall it's a bit pricey for being $4.
Sometimes you just want a slice, though.

They weren't listed on Yelp so I of course had to add their business for them. It's located in the heart of Japantown. They are closed Sun and Mons and open Tues-Sat 4pm- 7pm only. Street parking only.
My two sisters and I requested to have our pedicures done at the same time, so they told us to return in 20 mins and took our number to call us "in case they were ready before".... Hardly. We had enough time to shop at the neighboring Ross (long lines and all) w/out a phone call. They called us about 45 minutes later when we were at Starbucks hanging out w/ our frappes. Usually I would've been peeved but when I'm with great company I can never be in a bad mood.
We were seated in chairs next to each other, however, we were all facing different directions. I don't know why it's set up like that, maybe to discourage talking amongst each other? Anyway, I noticed that the nail techs did not talk to each other either. I made small talk with the girl doing my pedi & said it must be busy for them today (being that it was Mother's Day weekend). She agreed, and I asked her if she's had a lunch break yet, and she said no. Now, this was at 5pm folks and she had been working since 9am, and she didn't get off until they close at 7pm. Umm, that's gotta be illegal, right? Total sweatshop status!
Anyway, I had the basic spa pedicure for $25, which lasted me about 20 mins. Now I've paid less for the same thing at other places and have been spoiled by longer pedicures, so this was a disappointment. Also, she didn't ask me if I was ok with how short she was cutting my nails. My oldest sister was done before me, and we exchanged looks "like already?"... AND her tech rushed her out of her chair and made her sit on the waiting bench by the door. What the hell-- at least let her dry off a bit! My other sister had probably the best experience since she even asked for her tech's name and shift hours.
Overall, we left with mixed feelings about the salon. Maybe on a less busier weekend the service would last longer, but I'll probably return to my usual salon.

The pizza itself was pretty good. Nicely built, with plenty of toppings. The crust was light and a little plain, but a nice change from greasy crusts. I'm glad we gave this place a try.. we'll definitely be ordering from here again... the BF has his eye on a few of the specialty pizzas.
