I just ate at Snow White's yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised! The little cheeseburgers were awesome. Pair them with tater tots and man, do you have a meal! The staff was incredibly friendly and the place truly makes you feel like you're eating a little piece of history! We got 4 cheeseburgers, 2 orders of tots, a bag of chips, a Coke and a bottled water for $12. How can you beat that? Better yet, the guys that work there hang out up the street at Union Jack's, so you can share a beer with this guys afterward! Snow White's - you have won my heart (and my gut).
Worst Chinese Food Ever. They have a dish called the "Panda Feast". Does that mean that it is cooked with little bits of panda? Ugh. Stay far, far away from Panda Express.
It's not great; it's not bad. It's Chinese food in Front Royal. If you are here and you need an Asian food fix, China Jade is your best option. Take out stands up to the potentially long drive to your home. I like the pepper steak and potstickers. Three cheers for decent Chinese food in Front Royal. =)
We've eaten at Lightfoot a couple of times and the food has always been quite good. It's pretty formal with a relatively expensive menu so be prepared. The building used to be a bank, so the decor traditional but the history makes it interesting. Service is always very good. A great place for a special occasion dinner or formal gathering.
The absolute best place to have a great dinner in the valley. Stacy and David are fantastic chefs who put love and care into every dish. We recently took my mother-in-law to dinner here. It was a perfect evening. Dinner was fabulous, the service was spot on and everyone loved watching their dinner being prepared on the closed circuit TV. We visit Element (the restaurant downstairs also owned by Stacy & David) almost weekly. I can't say enough good things about both establishments. The next time you are in Front Royal stop by for a wonderful dinner.

Magnolias at the Mill

Magnolia's is always tasty with a fantastic beer selection. Nice line of IPAs on tap. Whether you eat at the bar or sit in the dining the room, the service is always spot on. We've eaten several meals here and attended one beer dinner which was a rockin' good time. Small plates are great if you need a quick bite with your beer. Dress is casual to dressy depending on your mood. Desserts are incredible.

Y-U-M-M-Y! Tuskies is always a great time and delicious meal. Many reviews say that Tuskies is formal, but you can get away with business casual or even jeans. Just don't look like a bum. My mom loves the shrimp and grits while I tend to go for steak. They have a great selection of Belgian beers and lambics. Be sure to save room for dessert as they are to die for. For less "formal" dining, grab a seat at the bar.
We go to Union Jack's for their incredible selection of beer. If you don't see what you want, be sure to ask the bartender. Great selection of Belgians and interesting IPAs. Lots of beers on tap that are rotated pretty regularly. Great happy hour pricing. Beautiful bar with lots of seating. The food is typical pub food which is pretty consistent.
We recently moved to the area from NoVA and I was craving good Thai food. We discovered Thai Winchester and decided to give it a try. Food is delicious and always consistent. Great view of the pedestrian mall and outdoor seating in the spring/summer. I love the Cashew Chicken and Larb Gai. The service is always incredibly friendly. If you love Thai food, give Thai Winchester a try!
We eat here at least once a week, so it must be good! Element brings a touch of gourmet dining to Northern VA expats in Front Royal. We usually have lunch during the week and the specials are always fantastic. Soups are also a must for soup lovers. My favorites are the special sandwiches. They featured a spicy tuna salad sandwich that was to die for. If you find yourself in Front Royal and you want a really wonderful lunch for a good price, stop by Element. You'll love it.
