Gloria's Restaurant
Categories: Mexican, Latin American
Finally made it to Gloria's. My wife had the Salvadorian and I stuck with the Tex-Mex. Both were good, but nothing special. The thing that makes this place great is that it's good food at a great price. We both had great top shelf margaritas and still got out for under $50 including tip. The service is excellent, everyone was super nice. With Tex-Mex everywhere around Dallas there are lots of choices to make but Gloria's will remain in our list of frequent stops. And that bean dip that comes with the salsa is great too.

Yesterday was our first trip to this place and we loved it. It's a bit overwhelming at first. It's huge, what to check out first? The prices are most excellent. The selection was OK, obviously it changes daily. I bought a couple earlier edition books for less than $5 and some CDs. I also bought some albums to frame. I have no clue about selling here, but as cheap as they sell things they can't pay that much. We'll be hitting it regularly as we grocery shop in the area.

Campuzano's Fine Mexican Food
Category: Mexican
Not to be missed if you're eating in Waxahachie.
We haven't eaten anything here that wasn't excellent. The Campuzano nachos is the biggest platter of food you'll ever get and they're top shelf. The margaritas are strong and delicious. And the fajitas. Oh, the fajitas. Now that I've tried them it's all I want to eat when I go there. The tortillas are made fresh, the guacamole is fresh, and the steak, chicken, and shrimp are all excellent. My wife and I order 1 with extra side plates and it's more than enough food for the both of us.

The best non-Mexican place to eat in Waxahachie in my opinion. We bring my Grandmother here about once a month and haven't left unhappy yet.
For Grandma and I it's all about the catfish and shrimp. They have two variaties, a regular and spicy. I prefer the regular because it's what I'm use too but the spicy isn't bad either. It's always cooked just right and the portions are huge. Go on Thursday or Sunday and the catfish is all you can eat after 5pm. I've never needed more than the first plate though and consider myself a pretty heavy eater.
My wife doesn't eat seafood but she's had the chicken fried steak and fried chicken, both excellent. Also try the fried dill pickles, not to be missed!
Service is OK, they seem understaffed sometimes on busier nights. I think it's under new management so that might work itself out. On Friday or Saturday night you will almost always have to wait but it's usually not longer than 30 minutes.
As far as the ghosts, who knows. It probably keeps the place busier with all the stories but for me it's about the food.

Snuffer's Restaurant & Bar

The cheese fries alone are enough reason to visit and the burgers aren't that bad either. It's nice to sit outside when the weather is right and watch people walk around. The service is ok but it's the food that will keep you coming back. If you're in need of some sloppy cheese fries and a cold beer, check it out.
Always great stuff. I was a Moe's guy before I moved to Dallas recently and had to find a new burrito place. Freebirds is the best I've ever had. The ingredients are all excellent and the price is right. I usually have chicken, my wife steak and we've never been disappointed. Try the red wrap, now that I have I can't go back. The staff is always nice and having a good time which makes each visit worth the trip from Waxahachie. The best burrito in Dallas!
Wow, great dinner! My wife and I are new to the area and making rounds to all the places recommended by friends and here on Yelp. This may be my new favorite place in Dallas. I had a chicken fajita Lucychanga, while my wife had a plate with an enchilada, tamale, and a taco (I think). Both were great, we sort of shared. We also had the guacamole which was most excellent. I'm a bit of a salsa fanatic and theirs had great flavor, wasn't too hot but still had some kick you could enjoy.
We got there early on a Friday, just after 6pm and were able to get a parking spot and seat without waiting. By the time we left, the wait room was packed and the parking lot had people lined up for spots. So I say get there early or be prepared to wait. It is worth a wait IMO.
Also, the margaritas packed quite a pop, 2 frozens and I was good to go.

My wife and I had lunch at the Northpark Mall location and loved it. I had a Mexican, she had a custom. The toppings were all abundant, fresh, and of excellent quality. We've been dieting lately and this was a perfect fit for us, a healthy, tasty meal. We'll definitely be eating there again and hitting the other locations when we're in the area.
We're new to Dallas and my wife and I stumbled onto Chuy's looking for something else. It looked like a happening place and we love the Mexican so decided to give it a shot. The salsa hit the spot, margarita's were good but not great. She had enchiladas and said they were pretty good, my fajita chicken burrito was quite good. I had the deluxe tomatillo sauce, which was excellent. Great atmosphere to eat, drink, and watch some football. We'll be back which is the best recommendation I can give.
