If your looking for a yummy place to get vietnamese sandwiches, and not around the chinatown region, go to this place. It's rather hard to find, but look for a yellow awning before the Walgreens.
We always order the #1 (combo meat with "jaa") and the bbq chicken. Im not much of a hard bread eatter guy, so I try to avoid those cases.. their bread here is soft, and they told me it is delivered fresh daily. Once, they ran out of bread on one of my cravings, but thats only because I came in late in the day.
The price is between $2.25 and $2.75 for all their sandwiches. They also sell entrees and rice plates, but definately try their sandwiches! You can ask for no jalephenos if that's not your thing.
BTW, banh mi means bread in vietnamese french inspired baguette :)

Hotel wise, we got the Starwood Preferred Guest treatment (Yahoo! it and sign up before your flight) which included free drinks at the revolving restaurant and some other perks.
You can read the other reviews here about the structure of the hotel and the color buildings they all correspond to. I'll just focus on the room and amentites.
The walls were pretty thin, but nothing to cry home about. The best part was the Heavenly bed and dual showerhead. I want both of them in my house soon!! It was pretty damn sweet.
However, a 27" CRT TV at a Westin? I'd expect a LCD by now, but paying only $70 through Hotwire was a pretty good deal per night.

Food was just okay, but they didn't use salt. Instead they used Monosodium Glutamate. Aka MSG!
We had our classic favorites:
- Ha Gow (shrimp dumplings) .. Shrimp was tasty and salt, but still had the "black trace" in it still.. com'on take that stuff out before serving it.
- Shrimp rice rolls - read above about the shrimp
- Beef Balls - super salty and a lot of fatty bits in it.
- BBQ pork buns - decent size and quantity.
- Chicken feet - Looks like they reheated this thing 10 times before someone took the bait and bought it..
Overall. Not a really good place to eat. We walked around Chinatown and found some other places that were packed in the late afternoon and knew this was not the spot to hit for a dimsum craving.
Fail!
Servings were huge and plentiful tasty. However, they use a lot of MSG here (does everyone in LA love MSG or something?) . If it wasn't for there abuse of MSG, I'd give them higher marks.

Daikokuya
Category: Japanese
Neighborhood: Downtown
Why is Daikoku not so special ?
1) Ramen was nothing special I couldn't find in the supermarket. (I saw bags of premade ramen like I can find in Ranch 99, oh, I mean 99 Ranch).
2) Soup base was not salty at all. (Guess that's a good thing?) I personally prefer the soup base like Santa Ramen in San Mateo.
3) Noodles overshadow the portion of meat given. Not a lot of meat was provided.. com'on
4) I asked for no hard boiled egg, yet the still gave me one.
5) A handful of green onions (scallions) WTF! Totaly over powering the taste if anything.
6) The queue - Waited in line for over 60 mins to get into the place and another 30 mins to get the food onto the table.
6) Checking out - Took us another 15 mins to get the bill. By that point, we paid in cash and bailed.
Overall experience was exactly what Yelp says "Meh. I've experienced better" We came on a Friday afternoon around lunch time so that could have contributed to the extra wait.
Good experience, but not my cup of ramen...

King Tint

When we got there, Douglas was friendly and did not pressure us into something we weren't comfortable with. After all, dropping a signficant investment in window tinting is something we don't do everyday. Douglas showed us the different options with metallic and non-metallic tints and it's many shades. We choose 20% all around on the coupe and 35% in the front and 20% all around with the wagon. He said it would take about 6 hours from the time we drop off the car (3 hours per car) and promised to give us a call when it was ready. His assistant, Hector dropped us off at the local mall.
Fast forward to 6 hours later and I got a bit impatient and decided to give him a call. Douglas picked up and said the cars were ready in a about 10 mins. Hector picked us up in the coupe and we were both shocked at the work they both did.
When he brought us back to the shop, we saw both cars and it was simply amazing. Douglas and Hector did a magnificent job and it clearly shows. There are a few air bubbles in the car now, but they promised it will disappear in a few days. The tints look great and Douglas and Hector have awesomeness skills in this field. The price was very reasonable for the quality and the time he puts into it.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a tint around San Bruno area. Thank you Douglas and Hector
They bring the "red" sauce in one of those boba clear cups.. I sometimes mistaken it for strawberry shake..
-First egg roll (awesome, hot and juicy.) good in the stomach
-Second egg roll (less awesome, not as hot and not as juicy).. starting to feel iky in the stomach
-Third egg roll (not awesome, getting cold).. diarrhea immienent ..
It's good, but like any fried food place, u'll only get so far before you head to the toilet..
