Just voted "Best New Restaurant (2006-2007)" by the Eugene Weekly (http://www.eugene...), The Vintage is quite the popular spot.
I don't really know why it's called the Vintage - it is a new restaurant after all. It's located in an old (vintage) house and has an intimate feel to it. We overheard our waitress explaining to another couple that one of the cooks wasn't in, so food was taking a bit longer to be prepared. I have to hand it to her, she was still very calm and friendly towards all the customers.
The crepes, of which they are known for, are quite delicious (and only $8.00). I had the Veggie Delight, even though I usually hate the term "veggie delight." They actually had a very good salad, which some sort of house mystery dressing - quite good though.
I hate to say it, but this place doesn't stand out in my mind as anything fantastic. The originality of the menu is certainly something that discerns it from it's competitors. I'm going to have to try their fondue (which is only available after 5pm). American Express is not accepted.

Still worth a visit though, because it can be a hell of a lot of fun - it really is what you make it. The staff and patrons (for the most part) are all pretty friendly too.

Some of the booths are really odd though - you sink into them, making you feel like a 7 year old.

Date

I've found the best nights to go are Tuesday and Thursday nights. On Tuesdays alcohol is half off and Thursdays offer an $8 burger and brew special. What makes this burger and brew so unique is that it comes with TWO (2) beers! The savings offered pay for your meal! (Keep in mind that a burger purchased any other day of the week will also cost you $8.)
The drinks at the Vintage are always well made, in my experience, and when they're not busy the servers really do take the time to make sure you have a good experience. This being said, service seems to always be a bit slow - whether or not they're busy. Let me tell you, there's nothing worse than seeing your mixed drink sitting on the bar 6 feet from you waiting to be delivered by a server. It really is enough to drive a man insane with anticipation.
American Express was originally not accepted, but I believe they take them now.
