Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Category: Burgers

3 star rating

I just had Five Guys this past Saturday. The meat is thick and juicy but the burger overall is very sloppy. The buns were soggy and mushy, the fillings were good though. The fries were really boring and soft (both versions). Taste-wise it was above average, but the whole experience was a downer. In-n-Out still gets my vote for best 'fast' burger; too bad they aren't in the area.

The way Five Guys just toss everything into a bag with no thought makes it a mess as well. I wouldn't be surprised if I start seeing quotes from Yelp on their walls since they seem to quote any decent thing said about them from any rag.

Great local steak house.
Filet Mignon with snow crab
and Sirloin was yum

I no longer need to go to Daniel's to satisfy my carnivorous desires.

Creamed spinach was disappointing; but potato pancakes blew me away.

The best kept secret in Issaquah. AWESOME pressure-cooker fried chicken! Hearty burgers too. Atmosphere is comfy; air is a little thick, tons of TVs to watch.
A couple bar-sized pool tables, two dart boards. Basically the local watering hole with great food.

Sundays are awesome because of the $3.99 Cheeseburger and fries deal.

Definitely try the fried chicken!!

Great variety of Vietnamese dishes besides the typical pho/rice plate/noodle bowls at the other places. It was pretty interesting ordering the roll-your-own-roll plate.
Food was delicious too, especially the delicately fried rolls where you wrap them in lettuce.
Be prepared for a wait during the typical busy hours.

Came here around noon on a Saturday, nice and dead quiet. Perfect for some practice time. Cash only business. Tables are worn but the fast cloth makes it decent. Minimum of 1 hr; rates are pretty cheap. I'm not sure what the nightlife looks like but from the people I saw that afternoon, looks to be many regulars. Great lighting on the tables. Could possibly be a totally different crowd at night since it's Renton...

This pool room caters to serious players. Don't go here expecting a party atmosphere like Jillian's. Barebones. Dirt cheap table time. High quality tables with fast cloth. Top notch players here. Owner is super friendly.
Nice and quiet.

Ahhh nostalgia. I remember frequenting Nadi and her wonderful shop of games and anime as a teen. I spent a ton of money renting imported psx games here, and another ton renting anime vhs tapes. It was here I convinced my mom to buy me my first dreamcast here (many months before it was released stateside).
RIP Network Video.

It's been tough trying to find a decent breakfast place near my parent's house in SF. I've taken them to a couple different places but they've deemed the food there to be too greasy, or too heavily fried. Manor coffee shop had excellent service (the waitress spoke Chinese to my parents!) and great food. The french toast was soft and thick and the waffle was crisp yet tender as well. My egg and cheese muffins were tasty as well. Best of all, the prices were fair.

The food, delicious, the service, amazing. Excellent value! The lamb shank was by far the most stand out dish. The pork chop was good, and the Paella was incredibly filling. The lamb shank two of our guests had came out kind of cold, so the waiter got us new ones and apologized and comped us two desserts (party of six). All of us could not stop raving about the food and the service. We made sure to leave an extra big tip.

The ambiance was intimate and the outside deck with live music completed the mood very well.

A++!

Saigon Restaurant

How is this place getting such high reviews? $6 for a TINY bowl of pho with a miniscule amount of beef, $5 for a Viet sandwich (and soda), when  they normally cost $1.75 from a place in Chinatown.

I thought I could trust the reviews on yelp about this place but this is the first time I've found the SEA-Yelp community to be wrong.

The pho broth was tasteless. It could be better described as water with a bouillon cube. The noodles were too cold; the meal quickly became room temperature. The beef was decent but too small a portion. There were no options for even brisket+beef ball either. I know this is not a true pho joint, but even the sandwiches were incredibly disappointing too. A tiny amount of BBQ beef tucked deep into the crevice of the bread (which wasn't too bad, crunchy and somewhat warm)...I had to dip the sandwich into some of the sweet fish sauce to get some more flavor into it.

The somewhat saving grace was the mediocre fried egg rolls. They were pretty cheap but still too small for the price.

Save your money and eat elsewhere. This place fails as a restaurant, fails as a lunch counter, and generally fails as place to spend your hard earned dollars.
