Bring your own wine is a great feature here.
There were 5 of us and it appeared that pretty much anything you ordered was a winner.
My only mistake was to not remember to say, please give me double vegetables instead of potatoes.
Be prepared to pay for parking.

You can buy a day pass for the reasonable price of $16/day for this facility.
I tried to buy a day pass at the near-by Equinox and all I could get was an annoyingly aggressive sales pitch to join Equinox in Los Angeles with an all access pass. In my opinion they should offer a day pass - they could just make it expensive if they want to protect their members.
Do be prepared to spend about 10 minutes to check in for the day pass though. Even though you are an out of town visitor they insist on entering information into their computer system - which appears to be slow and awkward to use.
Reason #2 to go. Gene Darconte will give you training hints for free! This guy has a great attitude and is very helpful.
Equipment - they were missing a few things that I am used to at Bodies in Motion - my LA club but there is enough there to get by.

Ralph's Grocery
Category: Grocery
Neighborhood: Westwood
Just moved from 90025 to 90024. Loved the Ralphs at Bundy & Wilshire, have been hitting the nice Ralph's at Barrington & Olympic. By comparison, I have to wonder, how can the fish at this Ralph's look like it's from a completely different store? The fish in the counter looks old! I had to wait TEN MINUTES for the fish guy to show up.
Only positive experience I had was that unlike another reviewer, I actually got a very nice gentleman on the self serve check out (and indeed you will be pushed to self serve).
I stopped to tell the store manager Jesse, I think is the spelling of her name, that I had to wait for the fish dude. She explained that the fish locker is far away and he has to walk back and forth. OK I lived in Japan and my customer service expectations may be be unrealistic. But could you add a "I'm sorry for your inconvenience" to that? I was trying to give her helpful feedback.
Other folks around the fish counter agreed that fish looked "very tired" and one said "you always have to wait for service"
I stopped next door at Best Buy to get something and check out was a giant line. I mentioned to a woman who was standing near another register and she finally opened up. Like Duh!
I was searching for an extension cord at Best Buy then CVS and Rite Aid very near by. Didn't have or out of inventory. Finally found really nice inventory down the street at the Radio Shack on Westwood blvd near Olympic.
Going to be driving further to shop now - but little worth trying to shop in Westwood. Although Whole Foods there is passable though less selection on hot prepared food than the one at 19th and Wilshire. Trader Joe's at least seems prepared to handle check out.
I can understand the "urban space" limitations of these locations but as for the counter fish at Ralphs and the attitude of the store manager - not excusable.

Although they don't bother mentioning on their website, the store on Santa Monica Blvd is located inside the Century City mall.
