quinton's is in the heart of the ped mall, and a great place to get lunch with a friend or kill an hour between classes. they have great sandwiches, especially the grilled peanut butter and jelly.
its also a great night spot, with the best juke box in iowa city.
quinton's is an iowa hawkeye fan favorite!

This is a FANTASTIC name for a bar. This Iowa Hawkeye friendly bar is located in the Chicago area and is an awesome place to hangout and get drunk. Great place to watch a University of Iowa game while eating some quality bar food. There are lots of TVs and not too packed that you can't get a table for the games.

Woody's is AWESOME spelled BBQ. Woody's Smoke Shack became popular by winning awards and contests across the Midwest. Woody won awards at the World Pork Expo, the American Royal in Kansas City and the Jack Daniels Invitational in Lynchburg, Tennessee and most important his BBQ was awarded the Iowa State Barbecue Champion. So this should give you some idea of just how good of BBQ we are talking.
The BBQ sauce here is so good it makes you just want to drink it from the bottle like its water.
They only cook a limited number of ribs each day to ensure the deliciousness so we suggest arriving as early as possible. Trust us, they are worth the effort.
Their website needs a makeover, though. We know some people, Woody.

John's is a staple of Iowa City. Great Beer and Wine selection. Great Website. Located close to campus.
Definitely a Hawkeye favorite.

Wig and Pen has some of the best pizza in the country, let alone Iowa. The Wig and Pen East is set to re-open this weekend after being completely ravaged by the floods of 2008. If you haven't been here before, GO!
Its a Hawkeye hangout, too.

Great place to watch a University of Iowa game if you are in the Grand Rapids area. Watch out for unruly Michigan and Michigan State fans.

Great name for a bar. In the downtown Minneapolis area, which is an awesome area to hangout and get drunk. Great place to watch a University of Iowa game, too.

Bandit Burrito was started by chef Robert Moore in July 2008. It offers over 35 choices to customize your burrito experience. The burritos are made in the same way Chipotle or Panchero's does, meaning you walk down a line and pick out your tortilla, your type of rice, beans, juicy meats, cheeses, veggies, salsas, sour cream, etc. It is all fresh and delicious.
And an added bonus... they have awesome brownies!
They do need to invest a bit into their website, though.
