Wow.... GIGANTIC ramen portions. I'm used to eating at Ryowa or Maru Ichii in Mountain View. So, when we ordered for lunch, I ordered some extra stuff. Like Cod, and like pot stickers.
Then, the ramen came. Holy crap... We ordered way too much food.
Anyways, as far as ramen goes, this place is great. I don't think I've ever had really bad ramen, so this is as good as any other places I've been. The other dishes are also pretty good, although I though the marinated black cod was mediocre. I'd definitely go back, but definitely would order less food.

Holy crap. This place is awesome. Friendly service, great food, and great prices.
I saw Duk Bok Kee (sp?) for the first time in a long time and it brought back all these Soju over Duk Bok Kee memories. Good times. They also have the pork belly stuff that you don't find too often. Tasty stuff.
The BBQ is on par with all the other restaurants in this area, but coupled with the memories, the portion sizes, and everything else, if I want BBQ, I think Choi's will have to be my first choice.

A great winery, it really is.
The wine is MUCH better in my opinion than Picchetti which is further down the hill. I like the view better, and their picnic area is as good and they've even got a little garden you can walk around.
Try the Zin. It's totally worth it.

The best thing about this place is that it's near some great trails. That's really about it.
I don't mind the homey feel of it, it's kind of cool to be honest. Sometimes wineries are a little full of themselves and overdo things. Picchetti definitely doesn't do that.
Why 2 stars then? The wine. Sorry, but it's nothing special. The tasting is cheap, and it's really nice that you can pick and choose what you taste, but all the wines lack punch and flavor and I found them a bit sour.
I'd go back, but for the trails and the views and not for the wines.

Not a bad little place for lunch or a snack. They've got lots of little items you can buy in the store, but I didn't pay much attention to that. It has a nice location, situated in a quiet part of the Mill with a great patio and a nice view of the river. There's more than enough shade on those super sunny and hot days which made our experience really enjoyable.
The service was fine and friendly, but nothing over the top special. The food is standard, maybe slightly above average.
A big thumbs up though for being incredibly dog friendly at the patio. They were more than happy to provide us with a seat and some stuff for the dog. I'd definitely come back for a snack or a really casual meal.

It's a great place, really is. Great atmosphere, great staff, super friendly and all that. They even let you have dogs on the patio and give them water to drink while you're gorging yourself on their food.
It's got a VERY extensive wine list and a great sommelier. I really like the winery descriptions at the back of the wine list too. It was really helpful and gave me lots of ideas on where to go next time we're in Napa.
The problem is the prices. The food, while very good, in my opinion, wasn't worth the money. Great steak, a little charred on the sides. Great soup, great salads... I just can't justify the cost. Sorry Press. I'd go back, but not on my dime.

This is a great place to stay. The staff is incredibly friendly, the prices are much more reasonable than other places in the area, and it's nice, clean, and totally comfortable. It's an easy walk to downtown Napa and there's a nice riverwalk right outside the hotel too, so it's pretty convenient.
The huge plus is that it's dog friendly. They seriously love dogs and seem to be willing to bend over backwards to make sure you and your dog are comfortable, even if you have to go off to dinner without the pooch.
We'd definitely come back. The only down side is that I prefer hanging out in St. Helena and Yountville. While Napa isn't that far from those areas, it's not close other. Small gripe for sure. We still love this place.

Someone please remind me to look at a map next time I book a tee time. I hadn't played in years and my father-in-law was in town. He's a golf fanatic, but he's also from Kentucky so we won't pay that much for golf.
So I go off looking for a cheaper place to play "near" San Jose and Boulder Creek pops up. Being an idiot, I book it and just assume it's 15 minutes from my house.
Whoa. Wrong. It's a good hour on curvy mountain roads. Father-in-law complains about getting sick before we play. I laugh it off, joking that I did it on purpose b/c I want to beat his ass in golf. That's funny for the first 30 minutes, but it gets old quick.
Anyways, long story short, long, curvy ride. Not close at all to San Jose.
And the golf course? It's a short executive course. Pretty well maintained, lots of par 3's, and it's definitely scenic. Love the trees, but it makes for narrow fairways and if it's one thing I can't do, it's hit straight. All in all, a pretty nice, if not short course. The clientèle is real friendly, and perfect for a beginner since no one seems to take themselves to seriously here. If only it was closer.

UPDATE: D just contacted me about my review. He was genuinely concerned and this goes a long way in my book. I've written a lot of reviews and this is the first time I've ever gotten feedback. If nothing else, it showed a genuine concern for his customers and a strong desire to improve the dining experience. Big thumbs and an extra star for caring so much. Thanks for the note D.
This is a fun little place for sure. The service is real friendly and fun to be around. The outdoor patio is a great place for dinner if the weather is nice, and they're totally dog friendly.
If I was rating only on my dining experience, this would be an easy 5 *'s. But, the food, while good, wasn't worth the money in my opinion. The hanging tender steak was really good, and the deserts are tasty. Portions are adequately sized, and everything is well done, but it's not nearly $30 steak good with a small side. My wife and I spent over $100 after all was said and done and we were both... ftw?
It's too bad, I'll probably go back and scale back what I order since I really did have a good time there.

We were meeting family for our birthdays and they gave us a private room. The service is top notch and really friendly. It's kinda sorta loud in the place, but I don't care too much about that. The food is excellent, the marinated stuff is awesome, and I love how the wait-staff cooks the food for you.
Aside from the BBQ, I can't say I tried much. But for the BBQ, and the prices, it's a pretty damn reasonable place.
