PROS:
- actual venue is cool: nice big lawn, good views of the stage, 2 huge screens
- lots of bathrooms and concessions.
- they get some pretty good acts
- nice scenery.
- plenty of parking
CONS:
- traffic is a nightmare both coming and going... You would think after 14 years they might have some kind of system for getting people in and out of there in a timely fashion - they don't.
- it's expensive $9.50 to $13 for a beer, $6 for french fries and $11 for a personal sized pizza, just to give you an idea.
- you can't bring anything in, it's like going to the airport... according to the livenation website you can bring, blankets, chairs less than 9" off the ground, food that will fit in a gallon ziploc bag and 1 SEALED bottle of water 32oz or less.
- inconvenient location 35 - 40 minutes from DC with NO traffic.
Overall a big clusterfuck, not worth the drive out there.
Prices aren't too bad $2.50 - $3.60 a slice and salads are about $4. The line was really long and service was a little scatterbrained but everyone in line seemed a little scatterbrained too. If you've been waiting in line for 25 minutes you should know what you want by the time its your turn.
Only pizza place near my work so Ill probably come back but only during work hours.

Hotel Stratford
Category: Hotels
Neighborhood: Union Square
The Hotel Stratford was very cheap ($87 a night - found on http://kayak.com) and extremely convenient. The BART was 2 blocks away and the cable car was literally right outside. There was also lots of shopping and food options right outside the hotel doors.
Continental breakfast was a little sad - just toast, muffins, granola and yogurt with coffee and juice. It is free though so I can't complain too much. We did get a really yummy breakfast right across the street at Lori's Diner so maybe check that out if you need a more substantial meal.
For as cheap and convenient as the Stratford was I would definitely stay here again .
