This is truly a gem. The picanha with rice and beans was amazing. Best of all is the place is unpretentious and very reasonably priced. The salad was delicious as well.
It isn't open for dinner every day so make sure to check their website before you go.
So far all I've had hear was a sandwich and a cookie, both were excellent. I'm not super familiar with chicago food, so I can't attest to the authenticity, but I do know good food, and the sandwiches here put them near the top of all sandwich places in the area.
Aside from the freshly baked pastries, they sell coffees and chicagoland style condiments and food stuffs.

Gourmet Gourmet - CLOSED
Category: Chinese
So far everything I've tried here was delicious
so this place moved. and i haven't tried the new location yet.
Fried rice was pretty bland, the lo-mein was "meh", the only 2 things that redeamed this were the won-ton soup which was good, and the fact it was pretty cheap ($17 for 2 people for lunch w/sodas).
If you're ordering take out, I'd suggest gourmet gourmet which is over on valencia in the gables. Food is much tastier (less greasy/oily tasting), just as inexpensive, and a better overall value.
This place makes me lament the lack of options for chinese near the grove.
So I can't compare it to white castle, as there are none here in the south east. I can compare it to the plethora of mini-burgers I've had in chains (fridays, chilis, etc.), and the frozen white castle ones you can pick up at publix. That said, the burgers were good, a good value for the price. Tasty, yet nothing over the top. The fries though were pretty terrible. But it is what it is. I'd go with the keily burgers, which are little sliders with cheese and bacon and onions on top. hmmm. they use good breakfast style bacon too (not the crap you get at some fast food joints, but more like denny's cut of bacon).
They also serve what appear to be their own brand of sodas, which were really sweet (I had the castle cola, but they had other flavors too)
So would I go back? Probably not anytime soon (neighborhood isn't great, and its not convenient). Is it worth checking out at least once? Yes. Especially because this was once a florida institution with over 100 stores throughout the area.
They only just recently reopened too.

I had the tostones and a pan con bistec (steak sandwich), and both were very well done. For the price, and the quality, I'd say this place is a great deal. Definitely know I'll stop in here again for something to satisfy my hunger in the future.
i had lunch there recently, and had the lamb lunch special (lamb curry + rice + vegetable). The price was very reasonable ($7.99), so that was much appreciated. Their naan was an extra $1.50 i think, and a soda was another $1.50 . All in all my lunch was like $11 + change. so price wise, I was happy, especially considering how overpriced most indian food is in miami.
now on that factor alone, I would have given them 5 stars. sheerly on price/value. The reason they got dropped was the lamb was the worst cuts of meat I have had in ages. bones in it, and half of it was just tendons that were inedible. c'mon spring for slightly better cuts of meet. this drops them down to like a 2. buuut their sauces were really really good. so back up to a 3.
if the place was a bit cleaner, might have even got them a 4 despite the crappy lamb.
I do think i will try it again, but a chicken or vegetarian selection next time.

Garcia's Seafood Grille & Fish

Service was good, location is neat (right on the river, which adds some charm).
Supposedly they have some of the freshest fish in Miami (they have their own fleet, and a market down the street). I would say that its probably true, and maybe a good idea to ask them what was caught that morning.
I'll be back here for sure.
