I love me some strawberries and this roadside stand has had the best strawberries I've tasted all season.
They're right on my way home from work and their farm is in the Sunol Water Temple area (right across the road from this stand) so they're as local as it gets.
The produce is organic and I am told that more veggies are coming in July.
The best secret about this stand/farm is that you can pick your own strawberries if you like (across the road) and you pay just the same. Picking strawberries was fun, I'm going back with some friends this weekend! Check them out.

Prices are reasonable (for organic) and it gets really inexpensive if you're buying in bulk!

Oh Cake made my daughter her best birthday cake ever!

She got a totally custom cake (not too sweet, right moistness) that featured her favorite things with a very prominent Minnie Mouse and an edible chocolate train! The price was very reasonable too. Everyone at the party loved the cake. Can't wait for the next birthday in the family :)

We've lived a block away from "Laurel the cake lady" for about 3 years and cannot believe we only just found out about Oh Cake!

I talked to a few places near where I live before I went with the Yelp pick and drove the distance. Glad I did!
Jim runs a great shop. He's happy to deal with all kinds of folks interested in upgrading their sound - you may want a state of the art custom install or you may just want him to install that stereo you bought off the internet for a good price. He'll take care of you either way.

I got two installs done by Jim's crew. One was a Pioneer AVIC-F7010BT in a minivan with rear view camera. Got a great price and a same day install. It was a little more expensive than buying off the internet and bringing it in but it was a better experience. All Pro had everything in stock and the best part about buying from them is that they honor the factory warranty in-store. If something were to ever fail under warranty, they are able to swap the defective unit in-store without having to wait for the manufacturer to replace it.

My second install was a Pioneer AVIC-F500BT that I bought off the internet. Jim gave me a very reasonable estimate for the install charges and stood by it even when it ended up taking twice as long as the estimate.

I was able to observe all the time while they worked on my car and that made me really appreciate the thorough job they do. Even when they were taking more time than the initial estimate, they did not rush anything.

Would go back again and again and wholly recommend their services to everyone!

Great food in a simple setting. Friendly service. We love the vegetarian combos. The Injera bread is always great, we usually get some to go so we can have it with leftovers!

Ambience being the only thing lacking, this is a great place. I wish they would stay open later than 6 pm though!!
Try the Chicken Kathi Kabab.

Great wine tasting without leaving the bay! This gem by the bay features some amazing zinfandels and dessert wines. If you like wines with a good "nose" check them out, all their wines have a great nose! My current fav is the "North Coast" appelation series Zin but they have a *lot* of wines so be sure to try.
Also, they currently have a sale on their Australian Shiraz which is a great wine too.

This is not the venue for concerts and weddings - most others seem to be confused. This is the tasting room on Tesla Road. This is a working winery and the tour is great. Wente's wines are fabulous and are much better value than comparable Napa or Sonoma wines. My current favourite is the Grenache. They always have a great Reserve Cab, Riva Ranch Chardonnay and grab the Brut while it's still available (they no longer make it).
Dating back to the 19th century, Wente is one of the oldest California wineries.
Try the Nth Degree Merlot (only available for purchase by Wine Club members though)

Love the food here. As a bonus, its usually quiet and parking is a breeze. They have a buffett at lunch that has fewer items but good stuff. Check them out.

Love having the IMAX screen in the neighborhood. Get your discount tickets from Costco to save moolah!

I love Mimi's even though they're a chain. The food has always been good. Servings are big for the price. We love the Artichoke and spinach dip. Parking can be hard when busy, also be sure to call ahead and put your name on the waiting list. Sandwiches are good at lunch and if you bring your own wine bottle, corkage is just $1!!
