Great barbecue joint in Seal Beach. I had the sausages on a pretzel bun and it was delicious.
They've got a main dining room and a bar area with stools. It can get crowded with a short wait.

Others must be rating this on drinks, because the food here is mediocre at best. Beans and rice tasted like they came out of a taco kit.

The worst thai meal I've ever had and definitely among the worst meals I've ever had.
Ordered the grilled marinated skirt steak topped with peanut sauce. Small pieces of cold, overcharred steak coated in a lumpy disgusting sauce.

This place is the definition of "tourist trap." Mediocre beer, terrible service, boring (and not very good food) and really high prices for what you get.
A real treat. Wonderful family run Lebanese/Syrian place. Friendly staff, delicious food and great service, even for a very large, obnoxious party. The unassuming exterior and location hide this gem in Arlington.

Finally, what I've been looking for in San Francisco -- a Mexican restaurant with great food but doesn't look like a total dive. Food is great, portions are generous and cheap for the ambiance/neighborhood.
Food quality is way better than Maya or Velvet Cantina.
The food reminds me a lot of Loteria Grill in in L.A.

The nicest thing I can say about this place is "better than expected." From the moment we walked in, we had really low expectations and well, it wasn't that bad. (We picked it because we were here for SXSW and every place else had a long line.)
Most of the food tasted like it came out of an Old El Paso kit. There are much better choices in Austin.

A nice place to go when you want good BBQ but also table service. Yes, you get a real menu and waiters here. No looking at a menu board above a counter.
And the food is good, too. Had the beef brisket and jalapeno hot link sandwich. Portions are on the small side, though.
As an added bonus, they have Mexican Coke.

It does seem like a nice neighborhood place. They have an L-shaped bar where you can order drinks and food. The crowd seemed quite friendly.
