I should say, that the Chart Room deserves 5 stars for location and sitting out on the Adirondack chairs with friends having cocktails and some of their food items such as the lobster roll, swordfish, egg and anchovy dressing on salad and the scrod with lobster newburg sauce and mudslides, however everything else without these items would have closed this place long ago.
Their reservation policies changes at will, sometimes they take them, sometimes they don't, and as a loyal local customer who lives in Cataumet year-round who would love to come there more, I get treated pretty badly, unless you are the hoi polloi in town or friends of the owners. Sad, but true. They have standing reservations for some people when it suits them. The wait is always much longer than you are told. Also, they should have a 50 foot radius for no smoking - it's pretty gross walking into the front door and have everyone blowing smoke in your face.
The place changes after Labor Day and you can finally get in, but during the summer there is no organization or consistency on food and dirty silverware.
It would also be nice if they invested with a website - would be nice to see menu, specials, dates open, times and even their reservation policy, or lack thereof. I was told they don't need the extra business- so they don't need one.
I hope the Chart Room reads this and listens to the locals - we are the ones that live here the other 10 months of the year.
Just throw me a bone once in a while.

Caline for Kids is a GREAT place for quality children's clothing! It has by far the nicest children's clothing and now has a new shoe floor on the second floor. It is a beautiful children's boutique, and they have very Cape Cod themed clothing as well.
The owner, Wendy, is a wonderful person to deal with and helped me pick out clothes for my god child in London. Great customer service!
Caline's now has a new website so check it out and buy something for the child in your life! http://www.calineforki...

When you are in the North Falmouth/Cataumet area on Cape Cod during your summer travels or anytime during the year, this is THE spot that combines community, fun, wifi and damn good vittles - not too mention great customer service and yummy coffee.
The Daily Brew is a fun, quirky, clean, and delicious stop on your way through Route 28A in Cataumet, MA. They feature wonderful coffees, refreshing smoothies, excellent freshly made wraps with the finest ingredients, homemade soups, muffins and other baked goods, as well as other lunch and breakfast items. They also cater.
It's a cozy place to go for takeout or for dining in, with friends or alone with your laptop when you are on the road working. WiFi is free, but
make sure you support their kindness with buying some food!
Kathy and Glenn are great people, and hard working! Give them a shout out when you get there - they love to meet new people.

By far the BEST Irish bar on Cape Cod, and one of the damn best in New England. Why? Because Liam is actually from Ireland! That really helps! The owners, Deb and Liam, are as authentic as they come - what you see is what you get. They run a tight ship, but everyone is always smiling and the staff loves working there. Food is great - try the Guinness stew on a fall day, or try one of their many seafood specials in the summer. They have all kinds of beer - from the classics like Guinness and Harp and Smithwick's, to almost everything in a bottle.
You don't like beer? No problem! They still love you at Maguire's! They make great pomegranate martinis, and have a wonderful wine collection as well.
Make sure you check the website for their daily specials, and check out the calendar for LIVE Irish music - the best! Sing along to Danny Boy, Irish Rover and the Unicorn song, making a fool out of yourself, and meeting new people.
Because, after all, the motto at Liam's is, "There are no Strangers, Just Friends you Haven't Met Yet"...
Buy some Maguire Wear at http://www.liammaguire... - Liam needs the money!

I have had massages and facials, and I will start having my hair styled there soon. I have known the owners, Melissa and her Mom, Vera, and I can truly tell you that they live and love their company, they show exceptional value and they always value their clients.
Their prices are higher than what you would consider in Falmouth as compared to other similar businesses on the Cape, but that is the cost of having a Manhattan-like spa in Falmouth! You pay for value - and looking at their client list and taking a tour of the spa, it appears lots of people want value.
The Dr. Murad line that they suggested is fabulous and has helped me and so many other people tremendously.
They also complete the buying process with exquisite packaging for gift cards and product. Really shows they are a class act.
Check out their website and plan a day at the spa in tranquil surroundings - you will be happy for it! http://www.spabellezza...
