Starbucks Coffee

I'm not going to review the coffee/tea in this review since there are a million other starbucks reviews on Yelp - and we all know that Starbucks coffee/tea is well...crap. So I'll just review this Starbuck's location/atmosphere.
In short, this Starbucks has about five tiny tables - half of which are always occupied by bums. The rest is the same old stuff - Norah Jones on the speaker, sleep deprived staff, huge lines...
Try to avoid this one. There are many non-corporate coffee options. Don't make the same mistake I made.

Spicy Wok

[edit] -After the second try, I suggest going with New China instead. The curry at Spicy Wok was crap.

Spicy wok is a good alternative to New China. Although you don't get soup and an egg roll with your entree, Spicy Wok provides a clean atmosphere with great service.
The food is a little bit tastier than New China (not saying much) and comes with about the same portions as New China.
I would probably go there again, but it definitely isn't something I would go to on a regular basis.

Gran Sabor - CLOSED

Decent food. Crappy seating. But at least they serve free chips and salsa (at least I think it was free)
I was hoping another Mexican restaurant would pop up on the ave, unfortunately, I would have to say Gran Sabor is worse than the other options (Chipotle and Don Eduardos). Considering Don Eduardos gives me the runs, I'm going to say Gran Sabor's food was a little better, but not by much. The seating is the worst though, at least Don Eduardos has an ample amount of seating. At Gran Sabor there are about 5 booths and 3 small tables to choose from - and they are both down narrow hallways. Don't go here expecting to sit comfortably.

Lounjin

I haven't tried their Sake lounge yet, but their coffee is amazing! They brew Zoka coffee and every time I have been there they start up a new pot for me (I get drip coffee). The atmosphere is nice and chill and they have nice little snacks. Also, right now it is still sort of a secret in the U-District since not many people know about it yet. It is a great place to study or get some work done.
