LOVE IT.
I don't think I will ever go anywhere else in the Bay Area for my hair cut and highlights. These guys are very detailed and professional. Mark knew exactly the right color highlights for my skin tone. Although he is a bit rough with his hands, you will be satisfied with the results. They also do not push expensive product for you to buy like some other places. As a matter of fact, I was looking into buying some expensive product for my hair, but Mark suggested I got something else that was less work and inexpensive. Brilliant! I will be back for sure.

Caffe Riace Ristorante Italiano
Category: Italian
Cafe Riace is all right.
The ambiance and decor was absolutely gorgeous, however. Just not gorgeous enough to compensate for the mediocre food. There was not much of a vegetarian selection. They had one thing on the menu that was vegetarian, which was the only thing they were not serving that day. I also had a tiramisu for dessert and it was too rich. Had better elsewhere. I had a taste of my friend's gelato that she ordered and I wasn't pleased. The gelatos they serve at Red Brick Pizza down the street taste waaaaaaay better than that. The service was okay. Our waitress was nice. She told us everything on the menu was absolutely delicious which was not the case for all four of us. But then again, it's her job to tell customers that everything on the menu taste great, so I wont ding her for that. Everyone ordered something different and not one seem to stand out. Overall, this is a great restaurant to hang out on the courtyard on a summer day or evening while sipping wine and enjoying other peoples company. Just not the place to go when you want a great meal.

I use to eat here all the time when I worked in downtown Los Angeles. They have the best penne mediterranean chicken. I don't know about the other selections. The penne mediterranean chicken is well worth the visit when you are in the area. Lots of flavor for a reasonable priced dish.

Yoshi Sushi Japanese Restaurant

This is the best all-you-can eat sushi restaurant in San Diego. We use to go here a lot when we lived here. Every now and then I would crave the spicy shrimp tempura rolls. Mmmmm. Yum. The quality is superb. For the price, I think it's worth it. Try it out!
New York hospitality at it's finest.
I told the guy over the counter that I wanted both slices of pizzas in to-go boxes. So while they were still on seperate paper plates, he slaps both of them on top of each other, closes the box, and then hands them to me like a prisoner in cafeteria line. Not the nicest people. I guess I would be btichy too if I had to serve pizza every day in one of the busiest cities in the world. The pizza was nothing special.

I would have to say that the food was just all right. If it wasn't for the disturbing smell in the air, my experience wouldn't have been so bad. They either have some sort of sewage or ventilation issue. Whatever it is, it needs to be addressed to their management. Let me know how that goes, and maybe, just maybe, when I'm back in NJ, I can give Houlihan's another shot.
Their Thai ice tea is great. The boba is made just right. Will be back for some more!

San Diego is not known for their Indian food and this place proves it. I would say the experience was below average. Not much variety for a buffet.

Worst penne pasta I've ever had. I could of cooked it myself. It was very bland. Equivalent to something they serve at a hospital. My husband had a burger with an oval patty. Strange. The best part of our meal was the fries. The good thing about this place is the location. We had a romantic little setup at the corner point of the restaurant. You get good street view without the crowd. Located on a second floor near a busy sidewalk not far from Time Square.

I'm not a big fan of Americanized Mexican food but The Whole Enchilada was exceptional. I had the chamachon, which was on their lunch menu, and it was superb. Very flavorful. My husband ordered the seafood enchilda which was also great. Love this place. We ordered dessert afterwards and were surprised they had a good amount of desserts to select from. I'm a big fan of creme brule and it totally hit the spot after an awesome meal. This is located in Moss Landing on the side of the road (Hwy 1). Great place to have a meal before you enter Monterey.
