I just wrote a review for Cafe Medici as well... I think these two compete head to head. Not sure which one is better. My favorite drink is a traditional cappuccino (cappuccino with traditional proportions) -- both places make a wonderful "near true Italian experience"... Very different atmosphere between the two, but both are nice. Teo is closer to me so I frequent them often and even have a pre-paid card for 12 traditional cappuccinos!

Fantastic cappuccino! Having a hard time deciding who has the best cappuccino in Austin - Cafe Medici or Teo? Or somewhere else? (if anyone can compete with these two, PLEASE let me know!). They use Cuvee coffee beans.. Teo uses beans from Italy. Both - great.

Austin's pizza simply sucks.
I have had numerous problems with orders from them, the most recent when we tried to order from them on Thanksgiving. Their website let me enter an order, I received a confirmation of the order by email, and then the pizza never came. We waited over an hour and a half and I tried calling their number 10 times only to receive a "wait for the next available person..." Turns out they were CLOSED! You could place an order, there was nothing in their voicemail about being closed, but according to them, "somewhere" on their website they list their hours and indicated they weren't open on Thanksgiving. I didn't see it despite looking for it. We called and asked them if they could give us a discount or anything and they said "sorry"... well we'll never order from them again.
They suck.
AND honestly their pizza is average - there are SO MANY BETTER alternatives like Rounders (awesome), Brick Oven, and Milto's (also awesome).

Haven't been since Dot's moved to Pflugerville, but back when it was up in Wells Branch, the catfish was awesome. I always got the yams and the chocolate pie. Definitely comfort food and one of my oldtime favorites.
