One star is generous and only because of service. Wish I would have Yelped it first to see all the other horrible reviews. This place was nasty. My daughter hated her hamburger (how can you screw up a hamburger)?? My two sons would not even touch their macaroni and cheese ... again (how can you screw up mac-n-cheese?)
I had tri tip sandwhich and it was ok. 1 star? Maybe 3 but no more. They get one star for overall.

What's not to love about island food? Alot I guess; Ok. I gave it 5, my father in law gave it a 1 so 3 is the result. Actually my FIL said he would have given it worse but you can't on Yelp.
Here is the rundown:
Pork was good (that's what I had) FIL had ribs and hated them. Not much more to add. It's island food. Macaroni salad was to be expected (normal island style) and the rice was nice and sticky and the sauce was amazing. Again, I loved it, but I lived in the islands for a few years and know what the style is.... if you are an islander you will love this place.

These guys in the food court do not have a clue what's going on. Running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
Just ok. Was sad it was not better. Was expensive for cheap pizza. I probably will never go back.
Salsa has a unique fresh wonderful flavor. I had the taco and burrito plate and loved the taste of the red chili. Very flavorful. The taco was ok. I have had better. I am giving this place 4 stars because of service. They tried but was understaffed for how many people were in the building.
They also gave me warm water to drink. I had to ask for ice.

Good burger that was very fresh. Good fries and onion rings. My only complaint is the sodas were flat (almost lost a star due to that fact, but the burger stood fast) Not like rating a soda is even what this is all about (but it just annoyed)
I will come again for sure. This place is much better then any in and out I ever ate at.

Ok you Yelpers you let me down on this one. Big time. It was bad. BAD
Waited forever. Then waited longer. And longer.
Fast food at sit down food prices + they charge for refils. Food is way to greasy (and I was even expecting and ready for greasy) AND overpriced. 3 chicken and one fish meals = almost $60 bucks. Not worth it at all. Will never come back to this place. NEVER (OH and the kids didn't even like their chicken)
Was going to go out for ice cream but I'm broke now.
I realize places have off nights but this was bad tonight. I was talking to a local regular that said they usually have a fine experience every time and eat several times a week etc. but they even told me it was a bad experience this time.
It really was so bad I do not think I will be giving them another chance - ever!

Good service and very friendly. The service was fast. My wife and I both had the buckaroo. So. Much. Food. (I was defeated - could not finish it)
I will be back to this place again to try more.
If you are visiting Ventura and want a great fill you till Dinner breakfast. This is the place. It really was not that expensive either - it was the same price as you would pay as if you went to Dennys, but there is no comparing the food. SO. GOOD.

The line out the door should speak to you more then anything I could add here, but this place has the most amazing Tri-tip with TO DIE for BBQ sauce. Look at that tri tip plate...all of that for 7.99!!!

If you are in Ventura and are a BBQ lover - you HAVE to hit this place up. You will not be let down

Ribs were so tasty and the tri tip was really spectacular. Sauce was great too. It is all served in tin foil and backyard BBQ cups so don't get to fancy to come eat here!
Wife and I both agree this place (as good as it was) gets a 4 because the ribs and pulled pork could have been more tender/tastier (we have had better etc)
The tri tip was a 5 though!! Will come visit this place again and would recommend anyone to try it.
