The place is in a strip mall next to a movie theatre (old movies and cheap tickets!!), The decor inside is a cross between fancy and take out- numbers labeing every table but fancy tables...interesting. It was very clean and neat and service was friendly and prompt.
The fam had no idea what pho even was so we each ordered a bowl with an additional entree to share and an appetizer of shrimp spring rolls. The rolls were okay with a fantastic peanut dipping sauce. The entree was noodles with seafood and chicken in a light sauce. The veggies and seafood were cooked really well and the flavors were delicious. The pho came out steaming in a huge bowl- a bit bigger than we'd all expected!
The broth was light and tasty and the noodles were cooked well. We all only made it about half way through our soups but took the rest home for breakfast the next morning (note:rice noodles do not keep to well overnight but still taste good)

They were pretty busy for a Saturday night, which to me is a good sign. We got seated right away in a booth. I had ample view of the decor- very dark and in that wild west cowboy motif we have all come to link with eating a large slab of beef. The place was clean and neat.
The menu was pretty basic- steaks, burgers and ribs. If you are vegetarian or vegan, stay away because you'll end up eating a baked potato. I ordered a regular burger with a baked potato. I ordered my burger well done (no raw meat for this 9 month preggo girl) and it came out rare. It was pretty funny to hear the waitress blame the cooks, though she did make sure I got it all fixed up. My hubby gushed over how delicious his chicken fried steak with white gravy was. My sister's mega burger on garlic toast looked really delicious and my mom's steak was cooked to perfection and most likely delicious because she seemed to be enjoying it.
The only down falls to the place were the 'extras' - stay away from the creamy chicken soup (the pasta was like paste) and the mashed potatoes (tasted like potato flakes and canned gravy).
Overall, a three star joint because of the meat, the service ( though the waitress seemed to enjoy flirting with the only man at the table) and the mellow atmosphere.
This IKEA is always busy (as most of them are) but its always neat and fully stocked and has adequate staff to meet all of the needs that may arise at an IKEA store...though, honestly, you don't typically need help in a store like this one.
The customer service dept. was super-helpful when I needed to exhange a crib after I accidentally picked up the wrong one.

As Jen C. said, they're a little boutique-ish type shop with more upscale clothing, shoes and accessories. There's even a spot in the back to trial babie carriers to check which one works the best.
The staff has always been friendly...check it out if you're in the area and baby shopping!

a) park really close to the front door
b) clutch my purse close to me the whole time I shop
c) avoid eye contact as if walking on a NYC street.
All of that being said, it has to be the best Wal-Mart in the High Desert. Just go during 'off peak' times and be prepared to act tough.
why would have even considered less than 5 stars?

Okay, So I've lived in the High Desert since March 08 and have heard some stories of slight snow lasting no more than a few hours and melted by the next day.
Until last week. Ahhh...last week...where do I begin? The storm came on Sunday night and lasted all day monday. I was stuck home and called in a 'snow day' to work because the Cajon Pass (I-15) was shut down and I couldn't get to work. Tuesday was a bit cold and icy, but the drive down the pass was fine and I expected a smooth sailing through the week. Until Tuesday night, it started again, and kept coming. Wednesday morning led me to another call to work for a snow day, a day of snow from first thing in the morning until late in the evening!! The desert was full of snow!! The cajon pass was closed Wednesday and Thursday.
That much snow in So Cal- what a concept!! Three snow days later and I could finally leave the house!!
my only concern is that every time I go there seems to be no one shopping...Please shop here everyone...I'm scared that my favorite market will no longer exist if we don't buy, buy , buy!!!

Just like Julie C. I am happy that Hesperia has a Fresh and Easy market amidst all the Ralph's, Albertson's and Stater's in the area.
Fresh and Easy is a great place to get away from the mainstream with their own F&E products, but still get your fix of some mainstream stuff that you love (coke and cherrios, anyone?)
Since first stopping here I've been back every week. I love the self checkout for many reasons 1) they bag for you as you scan so your out super quick 2) its not a sizco machine like the self-checkouts in other markets (we all know who YOU are!!!) and 3) they make the scanner bars nice and big and obvious on all of the F&E products so you don't need to flip the thing 20 times before finding it.
Thanks for coming to the desert F& E!!!
The whole Target/supermarket combo is odd ...I found that I go for either one or the other but not both. Some things are better off not mixed together, if you know what I mean. But overall, its a nice compact spot that hold lots of fun food and non-food items alike.
Date

I've flown in and out of here and felt calm and relaxed.
My favorite part is picking up/dropping off people because I don't fear death (as I did in the aformentioned LAX).
The only strange thing that happens to me is that I get confused with getting back onto the 10 freeway after exiting...one day I'll get it- I just need more people to visit me!
