Gourmet pizzas with ingredients such as fresh basil and prosciutto. They also have some snacks made of bread with salami and such. Right across from the 96th Street library.

note- to address the false information in the earlier review- the owner of Little Luzzos's worked at Luzzo's for six years. They're cousins.

A new Crumbs! They were giving out generous 1/4 cupcake samples yesterday (Sunday). They just opened on Friday (Halloween). The people here seemed nicer than the cranky ones at Times Square/ Bryant Park. I got two cupcakes even though I had no actual desire to eat them after all the treats I've been having between Halloween and --well just Halloween, and their own free samples. They also had an Obama-McCain "election" going on which was a neat idea.

The only bike shop I've found on the UES. They seem to have everything.

Etsy Labs

They moved Etsy Lab to the third floor of the same building. So the website is on the 6th floor and the lab has its own space. Church of Craft is the first Sundays of every month, where you can use the lab's materials- fabrics, scissors, sewing machines... and some machines whose purposes were unknown to me- for free. I went last Sunday, and found myself suddenly dusting off my sixth grade home ec skills and making a pillow. I even put a border around it. Luckily the sewing machine was already threaded. The assumption is that you more or less know what you're doing, with some help here and there. Most people bring a project that they are working on, and the emphasis is more on having a chat or making small talk, with their crafts as a kind of conversation starter. The day I went, it was all women, and one guy making a suit of armor. I am kind of glad that I was left to myself to figure out how to use the sewing machine and remember what I could about sewing. I would probably feel differently if my pillow didn't turn out so well. Every Monday from 4-8pm they have craft night, which has a theme. I think it is slightly more structured and run directly by Esty. I plan to go.

Fall Cafe

Lol, I was here just today. I liked it. I don't want service. I sat on a lumpy red couch and didn't ever feel like I had to leave. I left of my own volition within the hour. But I would definitely go back. The guy even gave me a pen to write with.

The cafe was full in the middle of a Tuesday, and several of them seemed to know each other. One of them, the woman who sat down next to me on the couch, pulled the table over closer to her without asking. Not that I cared, but still. Fewer people like that would be nice. Everyone else was cool or okay.

Opened on July 4. They seemed to have assembled themselves in two days. I walked in on the first day to have a look, and learned that they are not a cafe where you can sit for hours with a book, but more of a table service and restaurant. However there's a nice counter with well-presented bakery treats. They would be more useful to me personally if they were more of a lounge cafe, and financially they would get more out of me due to frequent visits. As they are now they are just an occasional treat, which means I will probably always look at it, but hardly ever go.

I went there, just to walk into the white macbookish space. Then I ended up buying frozen yogurt. It's installed itself brazenly on Union and 7th, round the corner from the Park Slope anchors Tea Lounge and Food Coop.

I've only gotten free olives from here. They have olives out for sampling at all times. I go when I need a salt fix. Which isn't very often because I live on ramen. The produce looks great. I'll probably buy something soon.
