This is a great place to come with a biggish group that's celebrating something. Ignore prices for the evening (start with some sangria), and get two+ tapas per person and a porron. Everyone below is right about the fried cheese thing being the best food ever; I'm also partial to the lobster ravioli. NOM NOM NOM OMG

This place is awesome. Not being that close to any T stop is a plus, since it makes it one of the few places within a drunken stumble of Harvard where you can drink on the weekend without being crushed by a stampede of scenesters or drunk undergraduates. Prices are good too; order a yard of beer (a table-top a yard tall), I think it's like $18. Convenient for pre- or post-gaming Dali &/or general fun times.

Hmm. I like the cemetery view and general atmosphere... but isn't pizza supposed to have sauce, or cheese, or something? The pizzas have literally what they say on them, not much of that, and nothing else. I'm not a big eater, but I needed to order more food after getting the goat cheese and weird-green-whose-name-I-can't-remember pizza, which was basically like a small salad on top of a pita. Tasty, but meager.

Nine-dollar sandwiches!? Only this place can get away with that; I think they may have the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. High Rise isn't priced for regular visits, but we like to bring our weekend houseguests here to impress them with our classy neighborhood (that we can't quite afford). It's hard to get a table at weekend brunchtimes, though.

In the spring, it's nice to start the day with a cheddar snail (NOT nine dollars) and iced tea that you can enjoy while waiting for the bus or walking to the square. Mmm.

I did once see a mouse inside when I was walking home late at night, though -- unless it was a drunken hallucination?

This is definitely a better weekly trivia haunt than Cityside!

Supersize my beer for 50 cents? Yes plz! Prices are reasonable, variety of decent food and variety of good beers. I'm a big fan of super-hoppy beers, so I love that they have Bear Racer on tap.

Haven't been there yet on non-trivia nights, but service can be absurdly slow at least on Mondays (can we say understaffed?), and it's usually pretty crowded/loud.

Everything about this place is middling quality -- food, drinks, prices, atmosphere. Nothing to really complain about, but nothing that great either. I've had good servers and terrible servers.

Wednesday night trivia (and $7 movie tickets to the Circle) kept us coming back here frequently while our friends lived two blocks away, but now that they've moved we're unlikely to go back and probably won't miss it.

Meter parking in the lot near Applebee's across the circle.

Free wireless internet; enough variety of things wrapped in tortillas to suit most tastes; smoothies; friendly staff. What's not to like?

I love this place! The staff is friendly, they're affordable (for sushi), and everything they make is tasty. Their variety of overstuffed maki rolls (my weakness!) keeps me coming back -- Tobiko Maki is probably my favorite, closely followed by Red Sox maki. I also recommend their makis with fruit in them, and they have a great deal on a salmon platter with a spicy salmon maki and two kinds of salmon sashimi.

It's no longer BYOB, though -- and it's tiny, so watch out if you want to go on a weekend night or bring a group.
