Help, I'm looking for a boxing type atmosphere to take kickboxing classes.  Not in a gym membership type place but more of an old skool boxing place.  Any suggestions?  work in DC live in Takoma Park, MD.  Thanks.

Go to Yamaski Jiu jitsu. They teach muay thai boxing. Here's the site for locations in MD.  www.grappling.com

Hmmm,  that looks in the right direction, but I still thinking more old school heavy bag kinda gym and either downtown or silver spring.  Any other suggestions pleases!  And total plus if there were kickboxing classes.  Thanks Carlo!

I took boxing boot camp at Thirdpower, which is now known as Knox.  http://knoxboxingandfi...  There are a lot of serious boxers at the gym, they have a ring and bags, and the boot camp was pretty hard (I have no experience but my friend who has a blackbelt in taekwondo and a brown in krav thought it was too).  I know they offer kickboxing and my guess is that their kickboxing will go beyond most gyms.
